SCIENTOLOGY

Scientology is a more recent religion. Established in the twentieth-century by a man by

the name of L. Ron Hubbard. Hubbard started his examinations in the past and composed a

book in the 1950s called Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health. He stated that this

book was one of the primary devices used to tackle the issues of the psyche. This book

concentrated on silly personality, war, wrongdoing, and madness. Mr. Hubbard structured this

book with the goal being that anyone can use it to develop and better themselves. He didn't stop

at Dianetics, he felt that there were still a few issues that must be tended to. He was currently

going to attempt to make sense of the idea of the person, what makes up our "being." Mr.

Hubbard joined religion, reasoning, and his hypothesis of dianetics to create a reasonable

clarification.

The name Scientology originates from the Latin word Scientia, which means information,

and the Greek word Logos, which means reason or comprehension. Scientology has

connections to Indian, Gnosticism, and a few schools of Hinduism Even however Hubbard

doesn't utilize the words "nirvana, karma, or illumination", his religion is attempting to do this by

arriving at the condition of freedom. This religion is an applied "strict way of thinking" and

believes man to be something beyond his physical self.

According to the church Hubbard was a war legend and suffered fight wounds including

visual disability and was almost paralyzed. He was a Lieutenant in the US Navy on July 19,

1941. Ron Hubbard dealt with an anti-submarine ship in the waterfront waters off Oregon and

California where he made sure he sunk two Japanese submarines in May 1943. A Navy

assessment couldn't find any proof that any submarine had been wrecked. Hubbard was

diminished of his bearing when he drove unapproved gunnery practice off the shoreline of
Coronado Island. According to the navy he seemed to be "lacking concerning the fundamental

attributes of judgment, authority and support." The Church affirms that he got military

enrichments that were not even in nearness during the time he served in the military.

Scientology has advocated for itself as a religion where "something one does, not something

one trusts in."

Scientology happened in a couple of stages. The idea behind this religion officially

occurred in the late 1940s when Lafayette Ronald Hubbard began making creations on his idea

of Dianetics. The energy of scientology created with the generation of The Modern Science of

Mental Health on May 9, 1950. By February of 1954, Scientology transformed into a set up

religion. Most importantly, there were only four regions for the gathering of Scientology, with the

one in southern England being the home office. One of it’s most known and popular churches is

in Los Angeles, California.
