B. Development of the Lesson
1. Motivation:
The teacher will show a video presentation about the belief system of
different religion in the world.
2. Presentation:
This teacher will discuss the about the social scientific approach to the study of
religion, identifying and explaining the two ways of defining religion and differentiating
religion from spirituality. Differentiate between religion as humans’ way to God, theology
as a study of God’s way to humans and philosophy as a reflection of humans’ lived
experience of God.
3. Activity: (Brainstorming)
The students will be grouped according to their religion and belief system and discuss
thoroughly the questions given below:
1. What is a belief system or worldview?
2. Do you consider religion as a belief system or worldview?
3. Do you have a religion?
4. Do you understand your religion?
5. How do you choose your religion?
6. What are the practices of your religion?
7. Are there other religions that you know?
4. Application:
This part is structured to ensure the commitment of the learners to do something to
apply their new learning in their own environment.
