INTRODUCTION TO INFOSYS:
CSR is necessary not only for the firms but also for the community development:
There is no framework to implement CSR instead small steps need to be taken by the
organizations gradually impact will be recognized by the society. Numerous MSMEs and MNCs
have collaborative approaches with NGOs. For example- providing donations, advertisements for
NGOs in their website
1. It strives towards economic development and affects the society in a positive way at
large with minimal resources.
2. It takes the responsibility of developing the society in its hand and impacts positivity in
the society through its CSR activities focusing on things such as hunger, poverty,
malnutrition, environment, communities, etc.
The first priority of the CSR committee members is to inform the board of directors
about the CSR policies that are need to be undertaken
Recommending the amount of expenditure that should be used for the CSR activities
purpose
Monitoring how the CSR activities are being done
Reviewing whether the policies are fulfilling its purpose or not and improving it if
necessary
Atlas it is important to research whether people are aware of the policy and whether its
reaching to the necessary people
Infosys foundation receives requests of funding for many projects in a year. Its panel of experts
evaluates all the requests and prioritizes on few projects based on their impact on the society.
After the selection process is done then the foundation or the entity will forward its
recommendations to the CSR committee. Then the CSR committee will start implementing them
in the society. Infosys representatives will collaborate with the stake holders in order to monitor
the status of each project and whether it’s reaching to everyone who needs it or not.
CSR clubs at Infosys development centers focuses on few important things such as education,
women empowerment, social being, etc. This is possible by the workshops and awareness spread
by our employees in order to create a huge
impact. In order to be available for more
collaborations and people to enable the
endeavors Infosys has created a CSR app.
This app can help the user to find all the
upcoming CSR events which are being
conducted in the nearby locations to the user.
The user can also share these event details
with others, which can help in making more
people get aware about this events. The Infosys CSR app also tracks the number of hours the
employees are working towards social causes and providing their support towards it.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
In this project I learned how important it is to conduct CSR activities in companies and
how it affects the society positively. Also, I understood how Infosys is working towards
welfare of the society by spending its money on that rather than looking it perspective of
business. We also understood about how a company works towards CSR and allots its
funds properly. Also, we understood that how companies collaborate with other
organizations to solve the issues in the society.
CONCLUSION:
In order to conclude I would say that Infosys has done a tremendous job in conducting
CSR activities and changing the society in a positive way. If it continues in this way it
can solve many issues in the society and also impact other communities or firms to
follow it. Every company needs to hold CSR activities so that it can also change the
society rather than thinking about earning more money it should spend some money in
these projects.
