1. Which developments in the information age brought significant changes in


the way you live your life today?

The Information age has an impact on the way I live today. It brought us good
and significant that will help me not just me but all of us in our everyday life.
Technology and the Internet make our lives convenient and easier. One of these
is the telecommunication devices like telephone or cellphone network, the radio
broadcasting system, computer networks, and the Internet. The Internet and
technologies are perhaps the most influential invention of the Information Age
because technologies such as computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones
make our life easier just like today we are now relying on the internet, we are
easily communicating with other people by texting and chat, being updated on
social media, being able to buy and sell online, It is also providing us useful data
and information and etc. As we can see how the Internet is very influential
especially for the students like me even though we have a covid pandemic today
and we are not allowed to have a face-to-face class, many students are able to
study because of access to the Internet.

2. How did the transmission of information evolve from the ancient times up
to the present?
The transmission of information evolved from the ancient time up to the present
through the following; First In the Pre-Industrial Age/period, a time that there is
no technology, there is no machine that will help them to do or perform their task
just their hands only, the people there is using writing system, the communication
there is limited within their community only. Second is the Industrial Age/period It
began to change around 1760 in Great Britain which is the replacement of hand
tools with power-driven machines, In this age/period the people transfer
information by using the printing press which led to the mass production of books
and other reading materials. The third is the Electronic Age/period, this is the
beginning of electronic equipment, power of electricity and large technologies just
like computers, telephones, radio, and electronic circuits during this age the
transfer of information from a long-distance become more convenient and
efficient. Last is the Information Age/period, today this is also known as the heart
of the information where the people are advance use of personal computers,
mobile devices, and Internet, etc. The transmission of information here is
become faster because of the Internet. Internet and technologies have become
part of people's lives.

3. As a student, how will you use social media to ensure that you do not
propagate inaccurate and unreliable information?

As a student, I think you should always know the sources If they reliable, trusted,
and known. Always check if it's valid or not before you get it or share it. Also,
always be responsible for what are you doing on social media for example do not
post irrelevant or embarrassing photos of yourself or anybody, we should not rely
on what we see on social media we should check if its true and a good way to do
that is to find more articles and read it, and do not rely on the headlines of the
news because some of the people are sharing it because of what they see in the
headlines sometimes headlines are not telling the whole story so we should try to
open and read it. Since some are misleading and fake, we should not always
believe in something that we see online. Always remember that think before you
click.
