This Division

1. There will be a Two day Seminar- Workshop on Science Intervention Materials (SIMs) and Science
Invest.gatory Project (SIP) on October 1-2, 2015 at the Division Training Center, Patin-ay. Prosper.dad,
Agusan del Sur.

2. One of the problems of teachers is the low academic performance of pupils/ students in Science. To
strengthen and maintain the momentum in improving Science MPS, the following are the objectives
for this 2-day Seminar-Workshop:
a To make Strategic Intervention Materials among the least learned competencies.
b. To utilize indigenous materials in the making of Strategic Intervention projects.
r. To utilise other medium in teaching science.
d To reduce the least learned competency skills among learners.
e. Develop the essential knowledge, 'kills and attitudes among science teachers in conducting
science investigatory project and in making strategic intervention materials;
f Provide the science teachers with the effective techniques, strategies and avenue for the
science investigatory project and strategic intervention materials;
g. Inculcate among teachers the significance of researches in solving issues and problems.
3. Participants to this trainingworkshop are the following.
2 Science teachers/ District
2 Participants per Secondary School
With a total of 232 participants.

The venue for this workshop will be at:


DTC { First floor) for Secondary
DTC ( Second floor) for Elementary
Meals and snacks will be served chargeable against INSET Funds, while traveling expenses will be
charged against School MOOE, Science funds, and other sources subject to the usual accounting and
auditing rules and regulations.
Wide and immediate dissemination of this memorandum is highly desired.
