BPM230 Operations Management


(Introduction to Business Process Modelling)
1. Describe Mission and Strategies of any chosen organization (any manufacturing or service
organization where you easily can contact resource person(s) for information and data).
Write down in detail the Operation strategy of any chosen organization. (1 Page)

2. Which forecasting technique chosen organization used for Product and Service design?
Explain pros and cons of selected technique and advise better technique using
organization’s information and data. (2-3 Pages)

3. Describe organization’s strategy for capacity planning for Products and services. (1 Page)

4. Discuss about the organization process selection and type of facility layout organization is
using and why? Find out any issues related to process selection and facility layout and
suggest improvements based on the course contents. (1-2 Pages)

5. Describe how jobs are designed and measured in the organization and also explain
different compensation plans offered to its employees? (1-2 Pages)

6. Describe location planning and its analysis for the said organization and which technique
was used to evaluate location alternatives? (1-2 Pages)

7. Describe how quality is being managed and controlled in the organization? (1-2 Pages)

8. Discuss and describe inventory management system of the organization? Find out any
issues with IMS and suggest alternative method(s) for improvement. (1-2 Pages)
