"Is That Important to Learn English?"

The honorable my teacher and all my dear friends, good morning everyone. Before I
begin to give a speech, I would like to invite you to thank to God the Almighty, Who has
given us Mercy and Blessing, so we can meet together in this blessing place. Previously, my
name is Vinka Nova Simanjuntak, I am a student of 3rd semester elementary school teacher
education at Medan State University.

Ofcourse there are variety of reasons and opinions will appears when we hear the
question "Is that important to learn English?" Of course there are some people said that
learning English is important with their variety of reasons and opinions and there are some
people said that learning English is less important even with their variety of reasons and
opinions. In your opinion, is important to learn English? On this oppurtunity, I would like to
deliver a speech about "Is That Important to Learn English?"

Ledies and Gentelmen, Begin with the question about "is important to learn English?"
How important do you think English to learn? We all know that English is one of some
international languages that widely used in many country except Arabic, Chinese, and
French. English is a language that comes from United Kingdom (UK) and then spread
through colonization until Americas which then English was used there. From UK and U.S.
who leter became a great nation that had a strong influence in all fields, English became the
language that widely used today. And those that make English imprtant as a language Are
English is a language that has a special position in 75 countries and is used in more than 100
countries. English also is the international language for business, sports, academics, science,
technology, adversiting and diplomatic. Shall we ask "Is that important to learn English?"

Ledies and Gentelmen, There are still many people in this country do not agree about
the importance of learning English which is accompanied by their variety of reasons and
opinions. They argue: Why do we have to learn English? If we still have our own language,
Indonesian, that is used as our national and unifying language of our country. Why do we
have to learn English? If we still thousand of traditional languagees which we should
preserve them together.
 However, we live in this world is not free from the dependency of everything one
country to others. From the dependency, we certainly need a unifying language between
different countries with different languages. And English appears as that international
language that we know. So, English is a language that must be learned from elementary
school up to senior high school in order the students have an international outlook which of
course will determine the future of our beloved country, Indonesia.

Shall we ask "Is that important to learn English?" Not much that I can say to day, just
a few of words above that I can deliver to you at this moment, thank a lot for your attention
and I also ask forgiveness for my mistakes, and the last I say : Thank You
 "Pentingkah untuk Belajar Bahasa Inggris?"

Yang terhormat Guru saya dan semua teman terkasih, selamat pagi semuanya.
Sebelum saya mulai memberikan sambutan, saya ingin mengajak Anda bersyukur kepada
Tuhan Yang Maha Esa yang telah memberikan rahmat dan rahmat kepada kita, sehingga kita
bisa bertemu bersama di tempat berkah ini. Sebelumnya, perkenalkan, nama saya Vinka
Nova Simanjuntak, saya mahasiswi semester 3 pendidikan guru SD Universitas Negeri
Medan.

Tentu beragam alasan dan pendapat akan mucul ketika kita mendengar pertanyaan
"pentingkah belajar bahasa inggris?" Tentu ada yang bilang belajar bahasa inggris itu penting
dengan berbagai macam alasan dan pendapatnya dan juga ada yang berpendapat belajar
bahasa Inggris kurang penting bahkan tidak penting dengan berbagai macam alasan dan
pendapatnya. Menurut anda, pentingkah belajar bahasa Inggris? Pada kesempatan kali ini,
izinkan saya untuk membawakan pidato mengenai "Pentingkah Belajar Bahasa Inggris?"

Hadirin sekalian, Berangkat dari sebuah pertanyaan mengenai "pentingkah belajar

bahasa Inggris?" menurut kalian seberapa penting bahasa Inggris untuk dipelajari? Kita
semua tahu bahwa bahasa Inggris merupakan salah satu dari beberapa bahasa internasional
yang digunakan di banyak negera selain bahasa Arab, China dan Prancis. Bahasa Inggris
merupakan bahasa yang berasal dari negara Inggris yang kemudian menyebar melalui
penguasaannya yang sampai menyentuh Benua Amerika yang kemudian bahasa Inggris
digunakan di sana. Dari Inggris dan Amerika yang kemudian menjadi negara besar yang
memiliki pengaruh yang kuat di segala bidang, menjadikan bahasa Inggris menjadi bahasa
yang sering digunakan sekarang ini. Dan yang menjadikan bahasa Inggris penting adalah
bahasa Inggris merupakan bahasa yang memiliki kedudukan khusus di 75 negara dan
digunakan di lebih dari 100 negara. Bahasa Inggris merupakan bahasa internasional untuk
bisnis, olahraga, akademik, ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi, periklanan dan diplomatik. Apakah
kita harus bertanya "pentingkah belajar bahasa Inggris?"

Hadirin sekalian, Banyak orang dinegara ini kurang setuju tentang mengenai
pentingnya belajar bahasa Inggris, yang tentunya disertai berbagai macam alasan dan
pendapat mereka. Mereka berpendapat: Mengapa kita harus belajar bahasa Inggris? Ketika
kita masih memiliki bahasa sendiri, bahasa Indonesia, yang digunakan sebagai bahasa
nasional dan pemersatu negara kita.
 Mengapa kita harus belajar bahasa Inggris? Ketika kita masih memiliki ribuan bahasa
daerah yang mesti kita jaga dan lestarikan bersama. Tetapi, kita hidup di dunia ini tidak lepaa
dari ketergantungan dalam berbagai hal satu sama lain dengan negara yang lain. Dari
ketergantungan tersebut, kita pastinya membutuhkan bahasa pemersatu antara berbagai
negara dengan berbagai bahasa yang berbeda. Dan bahasa Inggris lah muncul sebagai bahasa
internasional yang kita ketahui. Untuk itu, bahasa Inggris merupakan bahasa yang harus
dipelajari dari sekolah dasar hingga tingkat atas supaya siswa dan siswa mempunyai wawasan
internasional yang tentunya akan menentukan masa depan negara tercinta kita ini, Indonesia.

Masihkah anda bertanya "Pentingkah belajar Bahasa Inggris?" Tidak banyak yang
saya bisa katakan hari ini, hanya beberapa bait kata di atas yang dapat saya sampaikan kepada
kalian pada kesempatan kali ini, terima kasih banyak atas perhatiannya dan saya minta maaf
atas kesalahan-kesalahan saya dan akhir kata saya ucapkan:

CLASSROOM, ENDING LESSON

1. Checking Attandance
Teacher : Good Morning students.
Student : Morning ma’am
Teacher : Before starting the lesson, I will check attendance first.
Student : Fine ma’am
Teacher : Say “attend” or “I am here” and raise your hand when I call your name.
Student : Yes ma’am
Teacher : Anastasya lumiere?
Student : I am here ma’am
Teacher : Antoni usman habibi?
Student : I am here ma’am.
Teacher : Okay, Is anyone absent today?
Student : There ma’am, Budi is not present.
Teacher : Does anyone know why Budi is absent today?
Student : Me ma’am, Budi was not present because he had fever ma’am.
Teacher : Oh so I hope Budi will get well soon, so only Budi is not present today?
Student : Yes ma’am, just Budi.
Teacher : okey, Is there still a name that you haven’t called?
Student : No ma’am, everyone has been called.

2. Organizing the Classroom

Teacher : Weel our students will start learning today. Everyone take out your books
and also your stationery.
Student : Yes ma’am
Teacher : Open package book on page 15, we will learn about tobe.
Student : Sorry Ma’am, I forgot to bring my package book.
Teacher : Then you can share books with friend next to your desk.
Student : Yes ma’am. Thank you.
Teacher : Yes, Tasya remove the blackboard then close the door.
 Student : Yes ma,am.
Teacher : Take out your books and pencil, I’ll share the questions for you to work on.
Student : Yes ma’am. When collected ma’am.
Teacher : Collected next week.
Student : Okey ma’am.

3. Ending Lesson
Teacher : Students if anyone wants to ask?
Student : Nothing ma’am
Teacher : Okay, maybe this is where our learning for today we will continue next
week.
Student : Yes ma’am
Teacher : We end today’s lesson by reading a prayer accoding to each religion and
belief.
Student & teacher : (Pray)
Teacher : Okay, then good morning and see you next week students.
Student : See you next week too ma’am.
