Implementation Project
Navigation: FSM-> Manage Implementation Projects

Why we create implementation project?

1. Implementation project is the grouping of task which we need to perform. It decides what we
want to implement in the given instance.

For example we have HCM, financial and procurement available with us. In this case we can either create a single
implementation project for all the offerings or we can create three different implement projects for each offering.

2. All implementation related configurations can be done in Functional setup manager (FSM).
3. In order to get the access of FSM, roles of application implementation consultant and application
implementation manager are mandatory.
Enterprise Structure configuration

1. ESC is an interview-based tool that guides you through the configuration of your enterprise structures.
2. We can create multiple configurations to test different scenarios,
3. Create all the organizational structures together
4. We can also review our enterprise configuration before loading any data,
5. We can also roll back enterprise configurations after loading data, so that even if there is a
requirement for change or something went wrong in configurations we can still roll it back.
Enterprise HCM Information

The Manage Enterprise HCM Information task includes default settings for your enterprise such as the employment
model, worker number generation, Employment Model etc.

Approval rules consist of IF and THEN statements
 IF conditions determine when an approval rule takes effect
 THEN statement determines who are the approvers

IF Worker's Department—Sales AND Grade = 2

THEN Supervisor level approval = 2

Then determines the actions that need to be taken like

• Approval Required — notifications are issued and action is expected like Approved. Rejected
• Automatic Approval - (no notification will be sent but the transaction will show status as
approved or rejected depending on condition)
• FYI only — notifications will go out but no action is expected

PAYROLL

Flexfields:

People group flexfied can be used in payrollalso.

Cost Allocation Key Flexfield:

Whatever segments used in accounting key flexfield cost allocation key flexfield also uses.

We will use same value sets, we don’t create value sets, because if there is new costing code that is introduced by
finance people and they will inset values into value set since we are using same value set, payroll user can use that code
to assign to various employees and levels.

We can have different structures for different legal entities.
