Glimpse of Institution:
King George's Medical University is situated in the heart of the historic city of
Lucknow which is the capital of India's most populous state Uttar Pradesh.
Lucknow lies about 500 km east of Delhi. The city was the seat of the Nawabs
of Awadh in the 19th century and a centre for the arts - music, painting, dance,
'shatranj' or chess, kite flying and 'tehzeeb' or culture.
The College of Nursing has been established with a goal to become a
benchmark in the field of Nursing Education and Research in India in the year
2015 and still counting. Various courses like B.Sc. Nursing, M.Sc. Nursing, G.N.M
and Certificate in Community Health for Nurses are running in our institution.

Theme of conference:
The year 2020 has been declared by the World Health Organization as the “Year
of the Nurse and Midwives”. In this regard, WHO and ICN (International Council
of Nurses) run a global campaign “Nursing Now” to improve the status and
profile of nursing professional across globe. Leadership is one of the five core
areas this campaign features to achieve this goal. It emphasizes on recruiting of
more nurses on leadership positions. The nurses in India plays a major role in
the viability of health care system. Leaders in nursing would be the major stake
holders in decision making of health care policies related to nursing sectors of
clinical, teaching and public health forum. It is extremely important to inculcate
the qualities of leaders among budding nurses who will advocate for the rights
and quality of health care in future. The present conference focusses on
imparting knowledge and enthusiasm among nurses to pursue the leadership
positions to improve and sustain the quality standards of nursing care in our
country.
This Conference themed as “Nurses in Health Care Leadership” and focus
on ten different facets of leadership skills and will invite experts in the field of
leadership. The Conference is approved by U.P. State Nursing Council for …
credit hours.
Learning Objectives:
● To learn the basic leadership skills for quality improvement
● To understand and explore the opportunities to ascend the professional
status in our country
● To help the fellow nurses to fight for rights of self and patients
● To generate the possibilities of expanding professional standards

Abstract Submission for Scientific paper presentation:


A PowerPoint Presentation containing five slides only have to be prepared
with the content: Title, Objectives, Materials and Methods, Results,
Conclusion and Discussion. A short video of PPT presentation to be
prepared by the presenter for 3 minutes (Strictly adhere to 3 minutes).
This Video will be screened during scientific paper presentation session. The
Video of PPT along with registration details of conference have to be sent to
the following email address:

Only Eight presentations will be allowed and the selection will be based on
first come first basis.
