Santa Barbara National Comprehensive High School has provided the writer with many unforgettable experiences that have helped them become a better person. As a new student in 7th grade, they were intimidated by the large size but found warm teachers. They had opportunities to perform, dance, and sing in front of classmates. Every year brought new experiences like making videos. Their 9th and 10th grade years stood out, with victories in competitions that strengthened bonds between their class. Graduating junior high was both sad and happy. As an 11th grader, they continue to meet new people and accept new challenges at their second home of SBNCHS.

My Unforgettable Experiences in SBNCHS

Santa Barbara National Comprehensive High School is one of the places that I will never
forget in my entire life because of my experiences inside the institution that helps me to
become a better person. I can even say that it is my second home, and right now I can still
remember the experiences that I’ve been through before and after entering this school. When I
was a grade 7 student, the first time I step at front of the gate, I was intimidated by how large
school looks because I only came from a barangay school which is only small, and the place
was filled with hundreds of students unlike my elementary school. Some students look happy
maybe because they are happy to meet there friends again but some, just like me looking
nervous of the unfamiliar faces surrounding me but a little bit excited because I am looking
forward to meet a lot of new friends and especially the teachers. When classes started I was
nervous because I have heard that there are some strict teachers teaching here in SBNCHS, but
those feelings where gone after I have met my entire subject my teachers. All those bad things
that I’ve heard might be true but I can say that most of the teachers here are very warm
hearted that’s why some of my worries were gone as the time pass by. And at that year I didn’t
expect that I would have experience a lot first times in my life such as acting in front of my
classmates or what they call roleplaying, dancing and singing because it is part of our
performance. Every year from my grade 7 up until now SBNCHS never failed to give me
experiences such as speech choir, making a commercial video, a short film and a whole lot
more that give me lessons, experiences and making me a better person, but if you ask me what
year or what grade level have given me a most memorable experiences? I would say without
hesitation, that it would be my grade 9 and grade 10 school years. Why those years? simply
because when I was a grade 9 student, it was such a great year because together with my
classmates as a whole section, we’ve been through a lot of difficulties and somehow survive but
not only that, we have gotten victories from every contest that participated just like the cheers
yells competition that is always present at the intramurals meet every year, winning the
scrapbook competition that was joined by many sections inside the school, and the most
precious experience for me is winning the speech choir contest together with my classmates. Of
course, the section had gone through difficulties and arguments but, it only makes our bond
tighter. Grade 10, it is our last year together as a whole section, just like last time this year also
we’ve experience a lot that we have our bonds tighter than before, it is like we are all real
brothers and sisters but at the end of the school year it was sad yet happy day for us because
we have graduated or completed our junior high and we will pursue our dreams on next
chapter of our life as a Senior High student. Right now as a grade 11 student, I also meet a lot
of new and amazing people and I was greeted by the challenges and experiences as a SBNCHS
student and right now I am still looking forward to some new experiences that will make me a
better person. In the end, every memorable and precious experience that I have been through
will never be forgotten because of its great lessons that taught me and not only that I will
never forget each and every one of my dear classmates that are like my brothers and sisters to
me and as I have said SBNCHS is like my second home.
