MR. & MS.

ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY 2021

I. PAGEANT MECHANICS

1. Each participating department under the College of Engineering and Technology will choose
their representatives according to their own set of criteria. They are required to submit two
pairs of representatives on or before February 4, 2020.
2. Each representative will compete in the following categories:

➢ Candidate’s Official Photo – every candidate must submit a photo that will be utilized
by the organizer for the online pageant. The photo must be in portrait. The candidate
who will gain the most numbers of shares and reactions will be hailed as the “People’s
Choice Awardee”.

➢ Presentation of Candidates – candidates will present themselves and the department


being represented. Every candidate will be given a maximum of one (1) minute to
introduce their names and their respective department. They will be rated according to
the following:

Beauty – 50%
Poise and Bearing – 30%
Audience Appeal – 20%

➢ Talent Competition- every candidate will be given a maximum of two (2) minutes for
their talent presentation. They will be rated according to the following:

Performance – 60%
Audience Appeal – 40%

➢ Advocacy Video- every candidate will be given a maximum of two (2) minutes to explain
their respective advocacies. Their advocacies must focus on Industry 4.0. They will be
rated according to the following:

Content and Substance - 60%


Mastery and Proficiency – 20%
Audience Appeal – 20%

3. After the competing the four (4) categories, the scores in each category will be then tabulated:

Candidate’s Official Photo – 20%


Presentation of Candidates – 20%
Talent Competition – 20%
Advocacy Video – 40%

4. The Top Three (3) Candidates will be declared as:

Mr. & Ms. Engineering and Technology 2021


Mr. & Ms. Engineering and Technology 2021 - 1st Runner Up
Mr. & Ms. Engineering and Technology 2021 – 2nd Runner Up

5. The decision of the Board of Judges is final and irrevocable.

II. AWARDS AND PRIZES

The following Special Awards and the corresponding prizes will be given to candidate that tops each
category:

1. People’s Choice Award 100 GCash + Certificate


2. Most Photogenic 100 GCash + Certificate
3. Best in Talent 100 GCash + Certificate
4. Best in Advocacy Video 100 GCash + Certificate

The Major Awards and Prizes are the following:

1. Mr. & Ms. Engineering and Technology 2021 500 GCash + Certificate
2. 1st Runner Up 300 GCash + Certificate
3. 2nd Runner Up 200 GCash + Certificate
4. Consolation Prize 100 GCash + Certificate

III. SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES

February 4, 2021 Deadline for the submission of entries for Mr. & Ms. Engineering 2021
February 6, 2021 Virtual meeting with the organizer and the official candidates for Mr. &
Ms. Engineering
February 9, 2021 Deadline for the submission of their official photo.
Deadline for the submission of their Introduction Video.
February 12, 2021 Posting of the official photo in CET-VSUSSC Fb Page.
Deadline for the submission of their entries in Talent Competition.
February 15, 2021 Posting of their entries in Talent Competition.
Deadline for the submission of their entries in Advocacy Video.
February 18, 2021 Posting of their entries in Advocacy Video.
February 20-22, 2021 Posting of the results.
IV. PROPOSED BUDGET

Major Awards Php 3,800.00

Judges Php 1,000.00

TOTAL Php 5,600.00
