Bioplastic Made With Jicama Starch
Bioplastic Made With Jicama Starch
INTRODUCTION
Plastics are synthetic materials whose components are mostly based on carbon. Bio
plastics are now being considered as substitutes to commercialized plastics. Bio
plastics are made from recyclable materials that can help lessen the pollution we are
facing as a crisis right now. Bio plastics can be made from recyclable materials that can
easily be found at home with the right tools.
Jicama starch is one of the best components to make biodegradable plastics. They
are very natural, does not contain harmful chemicals and is very effective to lessen the
pollution given by commercialized plastics for they contain rich and non harmful
minerals. Unlike commercialized plastics, bio plastics cannot harm the environment for
their natural components.
BACKGROUND
Biodegradable plastics can help our environment in many ways. For they have
natural and efficient ingredients, such as spoiled eggs and jicama starch. This can help
not only our environment, but also all the living things in our surroundings. Bio plastics
can prevent pollution for they are natural and does not have any harmful components.
In terms of quality, bio plastics are more qualitative than commercialized plastics
as bio plastics does not harm anything or anyone. It also decomposes which is good for
our landfill. It is conducted other researchers that it is slightly weak in terms of tensile
strength, than commercialized plastics.
In terms of odor, bio plastics made of spoiled eggs have an unpleasant odor. The
texture of the plastic of all three variables are smooth and does not have any difference
among them.
Biodegradable plastics can contribute to the waste problem to our society as bio
plastics can be a great help to our environment for they are natural and decomposes
which helps are landfill. Bio plastics are mostly starch-based, which is good for our
environment as they are natural as well.
PROJECT BUDGET
With regard to the project budget, our team will only spend 2,000 php or less on
payments to help this project grow.
