A. Definition
The itinerary is a route or plan or guide
book of travel. It usually contains any
information dealing with travel or journey
such as schedule of visit (vacation), time,
dates, transportation, and other
information.
B. Generic Structure
Its generic structures are:
 goal/aim,
 methods/steps (programs/activities,
places/locations, times, dates,
tranportations, facilities, etc).
C. Social/language fuction
Its social functions are:
 To make a well-prepared program or
travel,
 To make an effective journey or travel,
 To be a guideline in spending time
during travelling
D. Language features
 Using simple present tense
 Using action verbs
 Using simple sentences or phrase

4. NEWS ITEM
A. Definition
News Items is a text that tells the readers,
listeners or viewers about events of the
day, that should be considered
newsworthy or important.
B. Social Function
To inform the readers, listeners or viewers
about newly received or noteworthy
information, especially about recent or
important events.
