General Compliance Comments

Garment must comply with BS7907:2007 Mechanical Safety of Children’s wear. YES

Toxicity (EN71 part 3) – All components and prints must comply with BS EN5665-3, including formaldehyde, heavy metals, YES

plasticisers & azo free dyes. YES

Any chemicals used within the whole process must comply with European legalisation EC1907/2006 (REACH) YES

All childrenswear must be put through a metal detection system and comply with the Morrisons metal detection policy. YES

Safety Compliance Comments

Hoods / Drawcords / Ties – must comply with Safety of Cords and Drawstrings on Children’s Clothing BS14682:2007 YES

A Risk Assessment has been carried out for this garment design and has taken into consideration the complete range of sizes to be manufactured Potential hazards may include tripping, slipping, falling,
choking (critical parts), suffocation, entrapment (finger, foot, head, wrist & toe in solid material), strangulation, restricted blood circulation, laceration (sharpness of points), eye impacting (any item near
eye area that a child could fall onto causing damage), insertion (object into nose or ear), pinching (moving parts catching the skin or hair), interference with safe activity (reduced vision, hearing &
walking), chemical (heavy metals, plasticizers, azo dyes, formaldehyde, PH, pentachlorophenol, phthalates), biological (toxic effect, pathogens/microbiological contamination & foreign bodies) &
flammability.

Above is a list of the most common risk areas, we have left blank spaces for additional areas which may be discovered during your Risk Assessment.
