MAUD 151 Staffing Pattern

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has sanctioned the creation of 4048 new posts across various departments in urban local bodies, excluding the largest three cities. M.A. & U.D. DEPARTMENT – Creation of 4048 posts in Urban Local Bodies except
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal
Corporation and Vijayawada Municipal Corporation and permission for filling up of
the posts in three phases from 2011-12 to 2013-14 - Category wise and Urban
Local Body wise under Rationalization of Staffing Pattern – Orders – Issued.

Read the following:-
1. From the Commissioner and Director Municipal Administration,
Lr.No. 3430/2005 K1, dated 13.10.2010.
2. G.O.Ms.No. 218, M.A. & U.D. Department, dated 15.06.2011.
3. M.A. & U.D. Department U.O.No. 20331/G1/2004, dt. 15.6.2011.

O R D E R:
The M.A. & U.D. Department issued orders in the reference second read
above approving the norms for rationalization of staffing pattern in all Urban Local
Bodies except GHMC.

2. The M.A. & U.D. Department have submitted proposals for sanction of 4048
posts and furnished category-wise and Urban Local Body-wise in various sections of
Urban Local Bodies except Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Greater
Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation and Vijayawada Municipal Corporation, and
also sought permission to fillup the posts in three phases as shown hereunder:

3. After careful consideration of the issue, Government hereby accord sanction


for 4048 additional posts in different Urban Local Bodies. The category-wise details
in all Urban Local Bodies except Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Greater
Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation and Vijayawada Municipal Corporation are
indicated in the Annexure to this order. Government also accord permission to fill
up 1400 posts in first phase (2011-12), 1334 posts in second phase (2012-13) and
1314 posts in third phase (2013-14) in all Urban Local Bodies, except Greater
Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation
and Vijayawada Municipal Corporation as shown in the Annexure enclosed. The
M.A. & U.D. Department shall send necessary proposals at the appropriate time, for
filling up of vacancies through direct recruitment to the Finance (SMPC-I)
Department for addressing the relevant recruiting agencies authorizing the direct
recruitment of vacancies.
