Script for PC building

Introduction

This is PC BUILDING 101. If you’re looking for a guide in building a pc this is the
perfect video for you.

Before anyone builds a PC, there are a few things you need to consider. First, you need
to ensure you understand your own needs in relation to the components you can afford
to buy.
1. Choosing Your Budget
 So how much does it cost to build a gaming PC? Well, the truth is, the
price can vary quite dramatically depending on whether you want your PC
to be entry-level, mid-range, or high-end.
2. Understanding Your Needs
 Before building a PC, it is important to have an idea of what you are going
to use it for, whether it’s the type of games you play or certain software
you would like to use.

What Do You Need to Build A PC?

To build a PC you are going to need your components and a small number of tools.
Firstly, when choosing the parts to build your PC, you will want to ensure all parts are
compatible with each other (CPU, RAM, Motherboard), as the last thing you need to find
is the CPU bottlenecking the rest of the system.

Here is PC parts list of all the components you will need:

1. Processor (CPU)
2. Motherboard (MOBO)
3. Graphic Card (GPU)
4. Memory (RAM)
5. Storage (SSD or HDD)
6. Power Supply Unit (PSU)
7. PC Case
Here are the Tools Required
1. Phillips screwdriver
2. Snips + cable ties
3. Anti-static mat
4. Thermal paste
BUILDING The PC
Step 1: Prepare the Case
1. Place the pc case in the anti-static mat after that.
2. We need to remove the side panels of the case so we can install the components
inside.
3. We remove the 2 side panels
Step 2: Installing the PSU or Power Supply Unit
 The PSU or Power Supply Unit this provides the power to all the components.
 It lives behind a PSU mount which needs to be removed before the PSU can be
installed
1. First, we remove the PSU Mount
2. Unscrew the 4 PSU mount screws
3. Install the PSU
4. Install the PSU mount
5. Screw the 4 PSU mount screws then the 4 PSU screws
Step 3: Installing the Motherboard
 At the heart of the PC is the Motherboard and all of the major components
connect to it.
1. Before installing the motherboard, we need to screw the 6 Standoffs
2. After that install the motherboard and screw the 6 screws
3. Then we connect the cables first we connect the cable from the motherboard to
the front panel second connect the 24-pin ATX Power to the 24-pin of the PSU
lastly connect the 8-pin ATX (CPU) Power to the 8-pin ATX of the PSU
Step 4: Installing the CPU
 The Central Processing Unit (CPU) is the PC’s brain. It performs calculations
based on information from some components and passes and the results to
others.
1. First, Open the CPU shield
2. Then Install the CPU
3. After that Close the CPU shield
 The CPU gets very hot and it needs to be cooled by a Cooler.
 First, we apply Thermal Paste to the CPU to improve the conductivity between it
and the Cooler.
4. Apply Thermal Paste
Step 5: Installing the CPU Cooler
 There are two main cooling types: Air or Water.
1. Install the Air Cooler
2. The connect the CPU Fan to the motherboard
Step 6: Installing the GPU
 The next important component is the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU).
 GPU’s are often mini-computers in themselves with their own processors and
memory to calculate the complex visuals of today’s games.
1. Remove the PCI Cover remove the one screw
2. Install the Graphics Card
3. Connect the cables
4. Screw the one screw
Step 7: Installing the Memory
 Next is the Memory or RAM (Random Access Memory)
 Ram is very fast memory that the CPU uses to hold the programs that are
running on the PC. Ram comes in sticks and many of the same type can be
combined to give the PC more memory to use.
1. Open the Memory Clips
2. Install the two RAM
Step 8: Installing the Hard
 The last major component is the Hard Disk Drive (HDD)
 The Hard Drive stores all the data for the Operating System. The Programs and
the user’s photos, music and videos, etc.
1. Open the Drive Bay
2. Install the HDD
3. Close the Drive Bay
4. Connect the SATA of the HDD to the SATA port of the motherboard
5. Connect the HDD’s power to the PSU for power
Step 9: Installing the Fan
 All the components of the PC give out heat.
 Case Fans will help the temperature down by moving the hot air out of the case.
1. Install the Case Fan
2. Screw the 4 screws
3. Connect the CPU Fan to the motherboard for Power
Step 10: Finishing Up
 Now we just need to replace all the covers to protect all those delicate
components.
1. Install the two Side Panels
2. Connect the PSU cable to the PSU for the main power
3. Connect the keyboard and mouse USB Cable to the back of the back of the USB
port
4. Connect the Monitor’s HDMI to the HDMI port
5. Turn on the PC to check if it starts up
If it turns on and it boots up in the monitor then you’re all done you just need to install an
OS (Operating System) in order to use it properly.
And this is PC Building 101 thanks for watching.
