The kinesiology internship is a self-directed, supervised, practical learning experience. It


provides you with an opportunity to engage in practical application of theoretical knowledge
that takes place in the realm of a real world setting of your choice. You can intern in or outside of
HT. The internship orientation report is designed to enable the student share detail information
about the internship site, reasons for the internship, a substantive description of the expected
outcomes form the internship and other relevant information. To facilitate completion, a
kinesiology student orientation report form is available in the next page for students to use to
complete this assignment.

Instructions

A. General information. Name, local address, work phone number, schedule and other pertinent
information.

B. Job analysis
 Name. General description and history of agency, as well as name(s) of immediate agency
supervisor(s).
 Statement of duties and responsibilities, including time schedule, activities, place of operation
and related information.
 Description of the participants with whom the field training will be done.
 Facilities, equipment and similar factors.
 Other information, such as your impression of the agency’s operations and facilities.

C. Plan of action
 Personal goals and objectives in the internship.
