e general view of what happened following the Civil War. The class
d will have a round table discussion about events that stand out or
a shaped history. Teacher will explain the importance of political
g figures and laws during this time.

g The teacher will verbally account for such events:

The 13th amendment abolished slavery

The 14th amendment gave birth rights

The 15th amendment gave black men the right to vote

The South crumbled without slaves.

Abraham Lincoln and Robert E. Lee did not like black people.

Frederick Douglass escaped slavery and took as many pictures as


possible.

Students will create a timeline that describes relevant events of


Reconstruction.
