Lesson 2 Activity 33

Peggy, a 52-year-old widow, experienced chronic depression following her husband's illness and death, with guilt being a major factor. A clinician treated her with psychodynamic therapy over two years. Wendy, a 54-year-old woman, was shocked when her husband of 29 years said he no longer loved her and wanted a divorce, leaving her constantly crying and feeling anxious as they planned to tell their children within a week. The document provides two short cases and asks the reader to identify the appropriate therapeutic theory to apply based on Sigmund Freud's concepts of humanity.
