1) This document describes a student's lab experiment to implement a 16x8 static TTL RAM for the SAP-1 computer architecture. 2) The lab uses two 74189 ICs connected together with wires to form the RAM. Buffers are used to connect LEDs to the ICs and RAM for readout. 3) A table shows the RAM configuration and a schematic diagram illustrates the circuit design of the 16x8 static TTL RAM implementation.

Title:
16 x 8 Static TTL RAM Implementation for SAP-1 Computer Architecture
Introduction:
 Random Access Memory. Store data and machine code currently being used.
Performs Read/ Write operation.
 Volatile Memory. TTL RAM: Transistor–Transistor Logic (TTL) is a logic family
built from bipolar junction transistors.
 We can program the RAM by means of the address and data switch registers. This
allows you to store a program and data in the memory before a computer run.
Switch (SW1):
 working
it store the data
Equipment:
 74189
 Logic State
 Buffer
 Ground
 LEDs
Procedure
In this lab we have to Ics of 74189 and then connected these with each other with help of wire and
then I have connected the buffer with LEDs and Ics 74189 and then ground connect with leds
