READING

Read the information about a festival.

Mole festival in Mexico

Last month, my boyfriend and I went to a wonderful festival. It was a mole festival in a small town near Mexico City.
What’s mole? It’s a special sauce made from hot peppers, tortillas and bread, spices, and chocolate! It’s delicious
and you eat it over chicken or turkey pieces or you can make enchiladas with it. Enchiladas are tortillas filled with
chicken and covered with sauce.

It was a great festival. There were hundreds of small stands, each one with its own particular variety ofmole.
Some were very spicy, others were sweet. Each one was different. As you passed each stand, people gave you
spoons containing a small amount of their interpretation of mole. If you really liked one, you could sit down and
eat a
delicious plate of mole and chicken or even buy condensed mole to take home. It was unforgettable.
