Rationale Modular Learning is a form of distance learning that uses Self
Learning Modules (SLM) based on the Most Essential Learning
Competencies (MELCs) provided by DEPED. This modality is currently
used in our school wherein majority of the students particularly the Grade
10 rely on the learning materials distributed by teachers. However, this
may also contribute to the learners with difficulties in grasping important
concepts and getting immediate feedback from the teachers, that is why
we came up with “Project ML (Modular Learning): A Remedial
Instruction which provide support for struggling learners” to bridge
the gap in achieving a quality teaching and learning experience.
The project aims to meet the following objectives:

a. to provide additional support to the learners.

b. to develop mastery of the concepts

c. to improve academic performance of the learners

The subject teachers of Grade 10 Araling Panlipunan will prepare


a recorded video lessons and Summative Assessments. The learners can
grasp with the lessons on their own convenient time. The conduct of
remedial instruction is not limited to some students having a hard time
coping up with the lesson but also design for all students of Grade 10 for
enrichment as they are going to answer the Summative Tests afterwards.
