RCD Load Computations

The document provides design criteria and load computations for sample floor framing. It specifies dead and live loads for different building occupancies and floor components. It also outlines two methods for distributing loads in two-way and one-way slab systems based on the span-to-depth ratio: 1) for short spans in two-way slabs, the uniform load is 1/3 of the unit load multiplied by the span; 2) for long spans in two-way slabs, the uniform load is calculated using a formula involving the unit load, span, and span-to-depth ratio. Preliminary sizes are provided for beams and slab thickness.
