General

„ To use the Perkins Compact Communication adapter

(USB) or the TIPSS communication adapter (serial
Port) with the new release of DIAG1300 v3.0.0.1
software, Perkins EST Issue 2010A or later must
be installed on the same PC/Laptop. If you do not
use Perkins EST 2010A then it does not need to be
licensed. See How to Obtain EST 2010A
„ An adapter lead – 27610281 will be required to
connect the Perkins communication adapters to the
1300EDI diagnostic socket.
„ The ECM must be powered for the service tool to
connect!

form located on the Perkins secured Internet (CWS Id and
Password required)

How to Obtain Perkins EST 2010A (EST 2010A
download instructions)
„ EST 2010A is now available as a downloadable File which is
located on the Perkins secured Internet (CWS Id and Password
required). Please refer to PMB 832.
1. Logon to www.perkins.com
2. Select the TIPSS - The Integrated Product Support Solution

3. Select EST
4. Select EST Web Installer – EST 2010A
5. When prompted select run. If run is not an option select save,
and save to your desktop.
NOTE: Selecting Run will download and install EST 2010A directly
onto your computer.
Select Save and EST 2010A will download to your desktop only as
an Executable (EST 2010A v1.0.exe) file. Double click to install

„ Insert the DIAG1300 CD into the CD drive and if the

CD auto runs stop the installation of the software
and right click the 1300EDI v3.0.0.1 header in the
CD drive.
„ Click open from the drop down menu and the
contents of the CD will be shown.
„ Double click the license form PDF and save to your
desktop to be filled in to license/re-license the
DIAG1300 software.

„ Place the CD into the CD drive and the CD should
auto run.
„ If the CD dose not auto run.

Communication Adapter will be “ON” if the ECM is
powered and/or the ignition is ON. The lamp will
flash to show communication has started, this will
continue to flash as long as communication is
established with the ECM.

lamp will flash on the TIPSS Communication Adapter
to show communication has started, and will
