The Music Divas

The Music Divas Club releases a quarterly Magazine that provides regular updates and highlights professionals of the Music, Arts and Entertainment industries who are making a difference by adding educational value within particular workspaces. Producing the Music Divas Mag was for one prominent commonality- a love of the music, arts and entertainment industries. Where less is more, the MD Mag looks to break the stereotypical cultural phenomenon as one of the leading Mag that adds value to the varied industries. The beginning of the 2021 year, we hit the ground running. With all the talks of the previous years activities such as the 2020 Economic conditions, The Music Divas decided to shift its focus and to expand on key issues affecting the industries, whilst highlighting key works and tracking its developments. Bearing this in mind, we immediately became committed to an organized schedule and one that would incorporate impactful Guests who could address key issues of the industries. February was all about Reggae Month, officially created by the Government of Jamaica in 2008 and that highlights and celebrate the impact of the indigenous musical genre of Jamaica’s social, cultural and economic development. The first Edition of The MD Mag (Spring Collection) features one of our Reggae Month prominent Guests - DJ RunDat, who paid homage to the Reggae culture and highlighted her involvement in the reggae music industry. It’s a blessing to see persons from different countries and industries coming together and sharing the possibilities to making dreams and ideas together, to impress the viewer, to amaze the critics and to meet the vast majority of expectations within the MD space. Creating The MD Mag was legendary; in a sense, as if I was moving rhythmically to music and yet following my own set of unique sequenced steps in order to make this first Edition a success.  Thanks to everyone who contributed to the relevance of The Music Divas First Edition!

Fashion Exclusiv
Clothing identity is real, alive and well. Over time we are seeing radical changes due to the
changing world of fashion. There is a famous saying that clothes make the man and is of
relevance in the present time. The social and cultural history of fashion teaches us the
importance of clothing identity. In today’s society Fashion and modernity are often used as
interchangeable concepts. Fashion acts as a social equalization tool that changes almost
instantaneously and differentiates over time. While Fashion can unite persons belonging to
the same class, it also has the ability to create division. As Sellers leverage individual and
social psychology to manipulate the market, we are seeing an increase in fashionable
recyclable items

SINGJAY DANCEHALL FEMCEE

OUTSHINES THE COMPETITION

Goal Digga’s appearance within the Clubhouse was memorable and stupendous, as she
performed lists of songs from her eclectic catalog within the KimmyPRNYC Clubhouse

developed an unequivocal musical persona and would freestyle songs during her free
periods as a fun past time. In earlier years, the New York based Singjay had ventured in the
eld of aviation as an Air Hostess

In a bid to further develop her craft, Goal Digga Participated in numerous competitions and
talent showcases, including Jamaica’s Rising Star. In 2017, she decided to release her rst set
of professional recordings on her very own Record Label imprint, Goal Digga
Entertainment, titled “Enjoy Mi Self”, “Fiesta” and “My Man”. By 2018 she released “Quint
Up” in conjunction with Knack Out Productions which led her to work with Record
Producer, DJ Ashani in New York. By the end of 2019, she had received a recognizable
amount of fame on the international Dancehall scene with her single “Eye Candy” by DJ
Ashani Productions which was featured in the movie Lynn & Lucy

minds and hearts of many users world-wide. Providing a safe space for artists, creatives,
entrepreneurs, in uencers, industry moguls and more, to come together and vibe authentically.
This social mix has really set the Clubhouse app apart from other social platforms. Allowing active
users from all over the world to create rooms of various subjects and times
The show was created the main
sentiments echoed was “… providing a safe
space, that could allow artists to receive
both praise and constructive feedback and
criticism” that many would never get the
chance to receive, especially while
navigating life through a global pandemic.
“Mod ‘Em or Drop ‘Em” is the only room of
its kind on Clubhouse and is unique in
changing lives as many see it. Many people
have dreams, things they are able to do,
but sometimes the people or even places
one surrounds themselves can block potential
blessings and future opportunities. This room
is a blessing.
Mod ‘Em or Drop ‘Em is a contest that allows emerging Artists to submit their music to DJ
Bleeddat Kash via Instagram. All submissions are judged by Guest Moderators alongside
Cohosts DaSavageHimslef, Ricky Trackz and ZoDoeEntertainment, where the Artists are
provided with remarks and constructive criticism. If the music played could use more
improvement, the moderators will “Drop ‘Em”Essentially if the music is great, the Artist is
rewarded a “green bean” which presents great value

If the music is needs a tune up, the Artist is dropped down to the audience “respectfully.”
Check out Mod ‘Em or Drop ‘Em Live weeknights at 8pm EST, on the Clubhouse App!

2013 claiming the champion title. She kept this title, winning the Spin-off again in 2017. Kayla
continued to play at private and public events of all kinds bringing unity through music, while
getting her higher education following through to graduate school

PRINCE JO
TEARS OF TIM
Excellence personi ed

Since a very young age, Prince has been interested in lm. He moved to Norway as a
UN refugee where he studied Film and TV production in Norway and at New York
Film Academy, where he specialized in writing and Directing. After graduation, he
moved back to Norway to follow his dream of making lms with a purpose. Now his
mission and dream to bring life to lms & ideas has raised the consciousness to
inspire the public.

Prince have worked on a variety of television programs, including his own ve Short
Films; one was selected by Cannes International Film Festival. Prince have also Co-
Directed two feature lms for European Cable Television and is currently developing a
TV series for Norwegian cable TV. In addition, he has participated in more than ve
independent lms as Production Management and Production Support staff

Prince is currently working on the release of his own Tears Of Time; a crime/
drama lm based on a true story about sexual assault, violation and grief.

The Film storyline delivers a script as a young Lawyer who is left to ght a court case
of three teenagers who were repeated victims of sexual assault. After the traumatic
experience, the lives of the victims became entangled in pain and grief. The story
ensues where there becomes a ght for social justice against the rape culture.

The lm examines the characteristics of raped victims, the desire to survive the
everyday post-traumatic stress disorder and the fear of committing suicide due to the
trauma. The struggle of comfort and safety in the face of fear or threat, the gure
acting as a base of security from which a raped teenager can explore the surrounding
environment and the anxiety that occurs in the absence of the justice.

The cause-effect relationship is very prevalent in society. An individual may exhibit an

unhealthy or problematic pattern from rape following separation from their friends,
family and society.

The lm delivers a deliberate tone, takes its time to lead the story where it settles and
the urban setting with its harsh, yellow light, the rigidness of Tina career and the
deprived nature of the relationship with her boyfriend James, only heighten the true
theme of the lm; JUSTICE for the teenagers and others who have been the same
issues.

The secondary theme is RESILIENCE.

Resilience of the mind, body and spirit of Tina and the teenagers’ life and future.

From the project’s onset, we want to commit to reaching audiences across the globe
through a Multiplatform approach

“As a lmmaker, I have the commitment to tell stories that will change our communities,
countries and create dialogue to solve these issues. This lm is very important to me because I
have sisters, female friends and my family has children who are young girls and I know
everyone is in the same space.   I strongly believe the visual aspect of a story will have a
greater impact on any subject or issue that's affecting our country. This is why I am on this
journey of art and social justice to make this lm and bring it to the big screen in Africa, and
around the world.” - Prince Jo
