PRINICIPAL PRACTICE TEST 2

Principal Practice Test

The Assessments

Taking these assessments is an integral part of preparing me to take the final exam and

test my knowledge of what it takes to be an administrator. On Subarea I and II, I scored a 17 out

of 20. When taking the writing sample one, I would say that I had scored a 3. Something that I

think I can work on is addressing the best way to assess teacher effectiveness. For the second

writing portion, I would give myself a rating of 3. I couldn't think of two types of data or other

information necessary when evaluating the potential new procedures for handling the funds of

extracurricular programs. I then took the Subarea III sample test and received a 37 out of 40,

which I was quite happy with. Finishing with writing sample three. IN this category, I believe I

earned a 4. In this area; I could easily show my knowledge of interpreting data from academics

and attendance. I think I would have received a 4 based on student diversity, because of my

desire to advocate for all students. Based on my experiences, I was able to identify different tools

we use and I have seen them used to help all types of students. Thus, I believe I was able to make

a valid argument that is in favor of the students’ success.

Conclusion

Being able to take these practice tests made me reflect on the strengths, weaknesses, and

opportunities to grow in my leadership qualities. I would like to review information from

previous courses and talk to my principal mentor about ways they prepared to take this

assessment. I would like to work on how I plan to explain my policies and beliefs in the writing

portion. This is the part that holds the most uncertainty, therefore the importance of having clear,

firm, and cohesive policies that I would rely on as an administrator.
