ZONG it is the first International brand of China Mobile which is launched in Pakistan. CMPak
works under name of Zong4G. Zong is a 100% subsidiary of China Mobile. It is Pakistan's
second biggest GSM portable benefit provider and third biggest portable benefit in terms of
subscribers. The main purpose of ZONG is to permit individuals to communicate at will without
stressing .ZONG will be backed by ground breaking communications, drift setting customer
service. ZONG offers its clients with engaging & inventive esteem added services and enabling
them by giving a wide range of items, administrations &substance to select from.
Leader:
A person who can see that how things can be improved and the one who energies people to do
such things and work together towards a common goals. A company CEO is expected to show
leadership, which is an unlearned trait. Liu Dian Feng is the CEO of ZONG and during his
period, the telecom operator saw huge development in terms of subscriber base.
Manager:
A person is responsible for managing and motivating people and for coordinating the progress of
an organization. He may take decisions sometimes. Rizwan Siddiqui is general manager at Zong
CMPak Ltd who is dedicated, assertive and focused performer in Marketing and Sales with
corporate loyalty. Mangers may vary from region to region according to their performance and
experience.
Role of leader:
The most important part of leader is to supply clear and compelling direction. Leaders have an
commitment to ensure that everybody within the company has the abilities essential to perform
their work, understands how their work serves the company’s goals. Successful leaders are
idealistic and cheerful. They “paint a picture” of the company’s future and implant their
supporters with trust by giving support. ZONG’s leader has extensive experience of working as
a top leader in two provincial level telecom companies and he also has a very good command
over the skill which are required to take ZONG to greater heights.
Role of manager:
The primary role of a manager is to guarantee the everyday working of a department or group of
employees. Managers complete administrative work and compare with other departments. As a
leader, a manager motivates staff and makes an environment where employees flourish.
Managers also effectively communicate with their bosses and pass on the essential data to the
different company parties. ZONG manger organizes product launches / positioning, Contact with
distribution/franchise channels, client contact and coordination within the advancement of
effective marketing theme with both internal and external customer.
Characteristics of Leader:
Leader should be confident enough to ensure that other follow his commands.
Leader is the only one who inspire others by setting good example.
A leader should have the ability to take the correct decision at the right time. Decisions
taken by leaders have a significant affect on employees.
A leader must be creative and innovative at the same time. He must think out of the box
and turn those ideas and thoughts into reality.
A leader should manage emotions effectively and better social awareness.
Good leaders always have a vision and purpose.

Leaders are representative of their subordinates and they develop team work.
They manage their time in proper way.
They make environment conductive to work and also strive for effectiveness.
They preforms the function of an intermediary between top management and work
groups.
They take initiative and guide and direct the organization.
Function of Manager:
Primary role of a manager is making a plan to meet company objectives and goals. This
includes allocating worker resources and appointing duties.
A manager's organizational abilities can help to ensure an organisation or departmental
unit runs easily.
Managers should be confident commanding their group members day by day tasks as
well as during periods of critical change or challenge.
Managers may function as leaders during small personal interactions by modeling steady,
empowering, and motivational qualities.
Managers should reliably monitor worker performance, quality of work, and the
productivity and reliability of completed projects.
