A. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND COURSE INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES (CD-CILOs/ Outcomes)


The course deals with the nature of mathematics, appreciation of its practical, intellectual, and aesthetic dimensions, and application of mathematical tools in
daily life.

At the end of the course, the learners are to


1. demonstrate broad and coherent knowledge and skills in the discussion about mathematics in the modern world (1.1.1.1), 2.
apply professional/creative work, research and innovation in the different topics of mathematics in the modern world (1.2.1.1), 3.
perform individual and learn tasks independently in dealing with the different topics of mathematics in the modern world (1.3.1.1),
4. communicate ideas effectively through the oral and written forms using the English language (2.1.1.1),
5. practice professional, social, and ethical responsibility inside and outside the classroom, while performing the required activities of the course
(2.2.1.1), 6. contribute to the generation of new knowledge by participating in the various activities required in this course (3.1.1.1).
7. discuss extensively and articulate information in the core areas of science and mathematics (5.1.1),
8. employ problem-solving skills using the scientific method (5.2.1),
9. recognize the importance of relevant scientific data (5.3.1), and

Pedagogical The course implements Blended Mode of Instruction/ BMI through schoology.com. Enrollment to the said learning
Nature and management system will be discussed in the classroom. This is on a flexi-learning course as the FS fieldwork requires
Delivery a presentation of Action Research.

Attendance, Students are required to observe attendance in the class as monitored in the School Register Form. In case of BMI,
Assignment and the important dates are considered the attendance. Assignments and their submission are to be on time as
Submission Policies announced or as scheduled in the class sessions/ BMI.

Uniform and Students are deemed accountable to follow the “Damn Psychology of Clothing” and the “RESPECT the 6 Cs” as
