Preview the Technology, Media, and Materials

The media used during the lessons was developed by me. Books used during

the lessons were made bilingual by adding ASL videos to them. Homework was given

on Seesaw, a program students are already familiar with using.

Prepare the Environment

Lessons were taught over Zoom. Students were split into two groups during

instruction. We took a virtual trip to the Zoo. All students attended the lesson remotely

from their homes.

Prepare the Learners

Learners were informed at the beginning of each lesson what objectives we were

working on and how I will assess each objective. Assignments were explained during

each lesson. Directions for homework were given in class and I showed students where

on Seesaw their assignments here located. In class, I modeled what I expected

students to do on the post-assessment.

Provide the Learning Experience

Students were provided with various learning experiences during this unit. We

watched videos, read books, took a trip to the zoo, participated in activities, and had

discussions. Students had opportunities to read, write, and sign about alligators and

crocodiles.
