Contamination
Uniflor™ 4622R-FG for Bearings in Food & Beverage Applications

Grease
Grease Color Contamination Recommendation Consistency

SOFT
White None Grease in good condition.

Grease is in good condition.

- Level of Oil Reserves in Grease +


Gray 0.0 - 0.1% iron Normal wear in bearing.

Add grease until cavity is full.


Tan 0.1 - 0.4% iron Bearing OK.

Flush bearing with grease.


Brown 0.4 - 0.8% iron Check bearing play for excess wear.

Check bearing for play and noise.


Dark Brown 0.8% and higher If OK flush with grease. If bearing is
NOT OK, schedule bearing change.

Black Replace bearing. STIFF
