The classroom consists of 25 students that are in the seventh grade. The classroom is set
Subject/Skill
The subject for this lesson would be Language arts. The students will be focused on
Objective(s)
Students will be able to identify any errors or mistakes made in various writings. Students
will be able to determine how to fix the errors they found. Students will also be able to work in a
Procedures
The lesson will begin by reviewing the objectives with the students followed by
explaining what they will be doing for this lesson. Reviewing prerequisites includes explaining
to the students that they must be able to form a well structured sentence with correct punctuation
and little to no grammar errors in order to identify errors made in writing. The teacher will then
show various examples of sentences with errors and then identify those errors and explain how to
fix them. Followed by that will be three more examples in which the teachers will find one error
and allow the students to find the rest by having the students raise their hands to demonstrate
their level of understanding. For the rest of the time, the students will work in groups in which
they will each complete the worksheet and in one separate paper they will all write down the
Materials
Students will need their notebook along with a writing utensil to take any notes if desired as well
as write down the examples. Students will also need the worksheets that will be provided by their
teacher. The worksheets have various sentences that increase in difficulty with enough space for
students to cross out or write out any errors they find along with space for them to write the
Grouping Structures
The students will work in groups of three with one group of four. They will be able to
Modifications
Any modifications for students with learning disabilities may include providing the
students with an audio that reads the sentences with detail. If students with writing-digraphia are
unable to write the sentence the students will be allowed to tell their group what they identified
and fixed. English Language Learners will be allowed to work with any students that volunteer
to translate if needed, however, if no one is available to translate the teacher will then allow the
students to use a dictionary or translator. For any gifted students there will be a set of sentences
Assessment
As the students are working, the teacher will be observing the students and ensure that
they are getting their work done. The students will submit their individual work along with the

The objectives will be reviewed one more time along with how the objects align with the
homework. The reading for the homework will then be provided to the students.
