Sub: Appearance of Questions beyond the syllabus in “Machine Tool Design


ME612PE” - R18 Regulation - reg.

It is to bring to your kind notice that the following question which appeared in the
question paper of the subject “Machine Tool Design” with subject code: ME612PE of R18
Regulation issued to the students of III B.Tech II Semester (Mechanical Engineering)
during the examination held on 27th November 2020 Forenoon session are found to be
beyond the syllabus.

8. Explain the following


a) Wave Removal
b) Wave Cutting
c) Wave removal over wave cutting

As per the syllabus specified in the R18 regulation syllabus for the students of III
B.Tech II semester (Mechanical Engineering) for the Machine Tool Design subject.
In Unit - V of the syllabus “Dynamics of Machine Tools” having the topics Machine Tool
Elastic System, Static and Dynamic Stiffness Acceptance tests. In the question No. 8,
which was mentioned in the above question is available in the topic of “Dynamic Cutting
Force”. The above said topic is beyond the syllabus.

In the light of the above mentioned facts I request you to send a note to JNTUH.

We are enclosing the syllabus copy and question paper for your kind reference.
