Competenc  Planning for Learning.
y  Implementing and Managing Learning.

Goal In my last year of studying Education, I will use learning applications to explain the lessons for my students, who
are learning through online experiences in my teaching practice.

Rationale  Due to the spread of the COVID 19 virus, the Ministry of Education has issued a decision to teach students
through the Microsoft Teams (MT) application which means online sessions to reduce the spread of the
disease in the community. 

 The new generation knows how to use the iPads and laptops better than us and they find it very enjoyable, so
I will use an educational website that will help me explain my lessons, for example, “liveworksheet.com” is
an online website that represents a lot of worksheets about many topics that teacher can give to her students,
the teacher can share the link of the worksheet with her students as activity in the class session. 
Proposed What? Microsoft teams- an online app that help teachers to explain the lessons for the student remotely.  Online
actions websites for activities, worksheets and games.   

How? By doing a group that includes all the class students. Students receive notification that the class started so they
join the lesson and I can start teaching them after taking attendance. Nearpod is a website where the teacher can
upload a worksheet or activity and at the same time teacher can see students while they are doing the task and their
progress. 

Why? All schools in the UAE use MT to teach students online.  These applications help teachers to make the lesson
more enjoyable by using a different types of sources.

Every day I used Nearpod and live worksheet the on every
lessons day lessons for the mental math and the
differentiation activity. The students used to these
applications and they like it especially they get so
excited when they know they are going to use
Nearpod. My reflection to these application is they
are useful to use while teaching students for any
subject also they are so easy to use not that much
complected.

Goal In my last year of teaching practice, I will participate in the performance and development process of the low-level
students. 

Rationale  I have noticed in all my previous teaching practices that the teacher does not focus on the low-level students
as required because she has another normal 20 students inside the classroom. In my all previous teaching
practice the teachers always ask me to focus and help the low-level students in the class.

Proposed What? Focus on helping low-level students understanding the lesson by breaking the outcomes into smaller pieces.

How? By explaining the lesson in a simple way and give students activities that will help them understand better and

at the same time challenging them and push them out of their comfort zone. 

Why? Because when the teacher teaches the other students she doesn’t have the time to focus on the low-level
students especially in this period while student studies by Microsoft teams from home.

Every day There were eight students who are low level
lessons students “Meera, Alreem Ibrahim, Hamad Juma,
Rashid Mohamed, Fatimah Sauod, Fatima
Haithem, Mubarak Mohamed, Mohamed Talal”
and I worked with the most of them while the
lesson especially when I choose the students
randomly to answer. Sometimes I ask them to
answer the questions on the chat so I make sure all
the students answers the question.

Goal In my semester 8 teaching practice, I will use new classroom management strategies that help me to manage my
lessons while teaching.

Rationale  The mentor school teacher asks me to develop my classroom management which will help me as a teacher to
keep students on track as well as it will help the student to engage more with me while I am teaching.
 Using different types of classroom management strategies will make the lesson more exited. 

Proposed What? to learn and use new classroom management strategies. For example, the teacher tells her students that when
actions she claps 3 times mean she wants them to be quiet and looking at her.

How? by implementing what I have learned to my students in the teaching practice and see their reaction to the new
strategies.

Remind them always about the strategies so they don’t forget them.  

Why? because when the teacher manages the class properly, the student attracts and engages with the teacher. Also,
the student doesn't get lost because the lesson went smoothly.

Every day I have learned from my MST many classroom
lessons management to manage the lesson properly while
teaching. The first one is, to when they hear the
song they open their microphones and rise the
hand bottom after that they close the microphone
so it shows the teacher who is on the lesson and
who is not.
