Waste Composition Total

The document provides a template for tracking waste generation over 7 days. It includes sections to track compostable, recyclable, residual, special, hazardous, and e-waste. The template guides users to quantify waste amounts in kilograms and percentages of the total waste. It prompts analysts to consider which waste did not need to be purchased, could be reused or recycled, sold, or composted. Users are also asked to analyze waste storage and disposal practices and barriers to proper waste management. The submission deadline is March 1, 2021 and will be evaluated based on scientific report rubrics.

ANALYSIS, CONCLUSION, AND RECOMMENDATION

Points to consider:

1. Analysis should consider the objectives of the study.

2. Discuss the implications of your data.

a. Which need not have been purchased in the first place?

b. Which could have been reused?

c. Which could have been easily recycled at household level?

d. Which could be sold to junk shops?

e. Which could have been composted at household level and not be disposed together with the

mainstream waste?

4. Analyze your methods/practices of solid waste storage at household level.

5. Analyze your disposal practices.

6. Consider factors that prevent you (household) from practicing proper solid waste management at
household level.

7. Present your conclusions and recommendations.
