Conversation With Nelson Syphus 3

Nelson Syphus pressures the M-Team for a decision on handing over the vials and emulator. He claims that Deborah manipulated events to ensure the M-Team would be hired at their studio and discover Project 863, which aims to stop Syphus, though its purpose is unclear. Syphus threatens to get the police involved by accusing the M-Team of accessory to murder if they don't comply with his demands within 24 hours.

For context: The team engages with Nelson Syphus for what seems like the last time before the
impending date, hoping to sneak some answers out of him.

Syphus590: Time's up. You've had plenty of time to make your conclusions about
what you found in my car, I need an answer NOW.

Syphus590: And don't waste my time by trying to stall again, at this point
it's just embarrassing.

M-Team: We're not stalling, we're just trying to take this one step at a time.

Syphus590: You all have been busy though, haven't you?

M-Team: Are you watching our videos?

Syphus590: I would be a fool if I wasn't, at least as much as I can.

M-Team: Then you already know that a lot has happened since we last conversed,
and we've discovered a lot.

Syphus590: Oh? Was 863 anywhere in your "discoveries"? Or are you still being
led around in the dark by your puppet strings?

M-Team: We're getting there.

Syphus590: Well, if you're content to be run rampant around a bush this whole
time, have at it. But I will be taking the steps necessary to retrieve my
belongings without your permission.

M-Team: You can't break into our studio, Nelson.

Syphus590: I won't need to break in like I did last time.

M-Team: Then how are you going to get the vials?

Syphus590: Why would I reveal my methods to you if I intend to circumvent you?

No no, I don't think so.

M-Team: Before we make a decision, we just wanted to ask one more question.
One more, that's it.

Syphus590: Fine. Hurry up.

M-Team: If you did watch some of our videos, I'm sure you saw the documents
that we found in that desk that are all related to us in some way. We know
that's related to 863, but that doesn't really answer the broader question of
why they were there in the first place. Is that something you can answer?

Syphus590: Isn't it obvious? Those are there because of Deborah.

M-Team: Can you explain a little more?

Syphus590: She manipulated those "events" so that they would occur in the
first place, so that it would only draw you back here.

M-Team: Are you saying D facilitated us getting hired here, all the way before
Samantha was even born? You can't expect us to believe something so far-
fetched.

Syphus590: You've had to swallow more ridiculous things. But it's the truth,
nonetheless. She's the reason that you're working at your little studio.

M-Team: But I started this studio in the first place.

Syphus590: And you wouldn't have had that push to do so with a job holding you
down, now would you?

M-Team: And Sam and Woods? They were referred here by people I know.

Syphus590: Deborah had numerous little worker ants she deployed to do her
dirty work, I can only assume she did the same here in order to lessen the
odds against her.

M-Team: Okay, now I know you're just trying to screw around with us. There's
no way that people I know personally have anything to do with Syntec or
Deborah or whatever it is at this point.

Syphus590: But it IS plausible that YOU three have something to do with

Syntec? You can't have it both ways.

M-Team: That still feels unreal right now, so that's not helping your case!

Syphus590: No need to get defensive, I'm just informing you of the truth.
Deb's little project stems deep, it always has. It wouldn't surprise me that
she gave herself added insurance to push you in the right direction.

M-Team: If that's the case, then Project 863 must be important, yes? But we
haven't found anything describing what it is anywhere.

Syphus590: Project 863 has one purpose: to stop me.

M-Team: To stop you? Stop you from doing what?

Syphus590: That remains to be seen, doesn't it?

M-Team: Why would the three of us have anything to do with "stopping you"? We
don't even know you, or Deb.

Syphus590: That's about the fifth "final question" you've asked me. You're
stalling again, but we're done playing that game. Are you going to hand over
the serum or not?
M-Team: And the other items you requested?

Syphus590: Naturally.

M-Team: Here's the thing, Nelson, I don't think we can do that right now.

Syphus590: Oh? And what possible reason could you have for that choice?

M-Team: We can't give up the emulator, not yet. Whether or not it gives us
more information on 863, we still value our connection with Deborah.

Syphus590: So, you're refusing to comply with my generous offer. Very well. I
suppose I have no choice but to take matters into my own hands.

M-Team: However you're thinking of getting into the studio, it's not going to
work.

Syphus590: Oh, how simple-minded.

M-Team: Excuse me?

Syphus590: I don't need to "break in" right now, if I can manipulate the
situation in my favor.

M-Team: What?

Syphus590: Considering you all glossed over that clear plot to murder me that
Deb was planning, and more than likely still is, you can be investigated for
accessory for murder. Not only that, but with evidence that I told you that I
need that serum to survive, and you outrightly refusing me now, I'm sure the
police wouldn't hesitate to look into this.

Syphus590: I'm sure that's not something that you would want me to do.

M-Team: No, no it isn't.

Syphus590: Then give me my damn serum. I won't wait another day. If I don't
hear from you in the next 24 hours, I'll take matters into my own hands, and
any hope you have of learning "the truth" goes out the window. This is my
final warning.
