1769HSC, where can I read the Module Error Code using a MicroLogix 1500 controller?

Answer
You are using a 1769HSC module with a MicroLogix 1500 controller and you have an error on the S:6 bit (i.e. x89h
"Expansion I/O module x generated an error"); you know only that the module in Slot 1 is in fault but you don’t
know which fault is occured. To get this information you have to open the Function Files folder: in IOS tab you
can read the fault Value and Description for the module.

Example: You have the following conﬁguration:

0, Bul.1764 MicroLogix 1500 LRP series C

1, 1769-HSC High Speed Counter

Major Error S:6=189h

You can read the right error code of the 1769-HSC module going on IOS:1 Function Files

If the module was in another slot, Slot x, the error is in IOS:x
