The speaker argues that math is a language, not a complicated subject. As with any language, math can be learned systematically with diligence and persistence. The author once believed math was difficult but came to appreciate its significance in daily life and importance to the world. Math allows our lives to be better organized and complete.

Math isn’t hard, It’s a Language

Short Reflection

From what I have seen in the video, the speaker really proved that Mathematics
is not a complicated matter because it is indeed a language. Way back then, I once also
believed that Mathematics was really a complicated thing and consequently gives me
additional problems in life. However, as the day goes by, as I learned a lot of things
about math and realized how significant it is in our daily lives, I slowly learned to love it
and appreciate it more than ever. The same as to the speaker from the video, I would
also agree and think that even a child or a kindergarten would be able already to
answer a simple algebra dilemma. For the reason that he is using mathematics as a
language. Mathematics is the same as those other languages, in any aspect, that can
be learned systematically. Perhaps, what we need to break is our stigma for thinking
that Mathematics is torturously complicated subject. Yet the truth is, it is not. It is just a
matter of diligence, persistency, and compassion to perceive this language. Without
mathematics, this world would be senseless and incomplete in so many ways.
Nonetheless, our lives would not be better as it is today without the existence of
Mathematics.
