CLOSE TO OUR CUSTOMERS
THEIR NEEDS, OUR OPPORTUNITIES

COMMODITIES ARE NOT ENOUGH TO COVER THE NEEDS OF INDUSTRIAL

CUSTOMERS.
APART FROM GEAR OIL, HYDRAULIC LUBRICANTS AND TURBINE OILS, THEY
ARE LOOKING FOR TECHNICAL COMMITMENTS WITH LUBRICANT
MANUFACTURERS IN ORDER TO SOLVE PROBLEMS IN THEIR FACILITIES.
REPSOL CAN OFFER LUBRICATION SOLUTIONS TO IMPROVE YOUR
PROCESSES; CUSTOMIZING PRODUCTS ACCORDING TO WHAT YOUR FACTORY
IS REQUESTING.

SUCCESFULL STORIES: CIRCULACION AR

Global customer (ARCELORMITTAL) requested our support to improve the water separation
from the oil in MORGOIL BEARINGS.

Repsol took representative water samples and defined several lab tests to evaluate the
capability of the oil to remove water in more than 20 different formulations to find the
best additive technology developed in our R&D center. This resulted in the development
of a customised lubricant as we have confirmed the capability of the oil to remove water
is dependent on the water quality (pH, Ca content, etc.)

With all the data collected in our R&D center, Repsol convinced the customer to use our
products, and now they are working with a tailor-made product according to the quality of the
water used in their facilities.

CLOSE TO OUR CUSTOMERS
SUCCESFULL STORIES: EMPATEM 50GS

Continuous Casting Department from one of our clients contacted us, requesting for a top tier
lubricant to improve the surface finishings in stainless steel.

Repsol engineered a product with our experience and technical know-how in GIII base oils to
compete against ester-based base oils for better performance in the moulds. We used modified
bench tests in lab such as Microcarbon test, microcoking, etc. to evaluate the deposits of our
proposals once the lubricant was burnt. We achived better performance than our competitors.

We were involved in the approval process in customer facilities and we can see improvments
in the surface finishing reducing pinholes. The customer has been using the product since 3
years ago without any problem.
