I. Objectives

At the end of the lesson the pupils are expected to;

A. Identify and classify the steady beat sounds

B. Imitate the sounds of steady beat

C. Express themselves through doing steady beat sounds

II. Subject matter

Topic: Steady beat

Materials: Manila paper, pilot pen, pictures

B. Motivation

The teacher will show pictures then the pupils will identify if it makes a steady beat sounds.

Put S if it makes a steady beat sounds and put NS if it makes no steady beat sounds.

C. Presentation

The teacher will make the pupils listen to discussion and tell them the do and don't. The teacher also
will show videos about steady beat sounds.

D. Discussion

The teacher will discuss about the steady beat sounds

Steady beat is the most fundamental concept in music.


It's the ongoing, steady, repetitive pulse that occurs in songs, chants, rhymes, and music. It's the part
that makes you want to tap your toes, clap your hands, or jump up and dance like no one is watching

Things that do have a steady beat include a person running down the sidewalk at a steady pace, the
ticking of a clock, or the beating of a drum.

E. Application

The teacher will group the pupils into three groups and they will be given 5 minutes to finish their task
and then they will present to the group.

Group 1 - Make a song about steady beat

Group 2 - produce steady beat sounds

Group 3 - explain the importance of steady beat

J. Evaluation

Put check if it makes a steady beat and X if it is not.
