This document provides instructions for calculating an Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Score. It contains 10 questions about potentially traumatic events from childhood, such as physical or verbal abuse, neglect, parental divorce or separation, substance abuse in the household, incarceration of a household member, and more. For each "Yes" answer, the respondent adds 1 point to their ACE Score, which provides an overall total measure of childhood trauma exposure.
