Well, I get up at six o’clock and have breakfast at home. Then I leave home at seven. I go to work by
bus. I start working at eight and I finish at four pm. I have 30 minutes for the lunch break. After work I go
to an English course, there are lessons on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I get home at seven pm. I have
a shower and eat something for dinner then I watch TV, or I call my friends. I go to bed at 10 pm.

I think it is essential to know English. Everybody speaks English and it is an international language.

books and newspapers in English and it is a really good feeling when you understand them.

My hobby is photography. I like taking photos of people or different objects. Last year I bought a really
good digital camera and it works very well. I can take amazing pictures and it is easy to handle and small,

internet to share them with my friends.

enjoy it and they can spend hours with writing and reading comments.

I went to Sicily in June with my girlfriend. We always wanted to visit it because we saw many beautiful
pictures of it. I went to a travel agency and I asked them to arrange it. It wasn’t so expensive.
We travelled by plane and we had to change in Rome. The flight was about 3 hours. Sicily is fantastic,
everything is nice, and the people are very friendly and helpful. We watched many famous sights like
Taormina or the Etna and of course we sunbathed on the beautiful sandy beaches. It was fantastic.

Well, I have to think it over because I want to take all my clothes, but my suitcase isn’t big enough. If I
travel by plane I have to check my things twice because the suitcase can’t be more than twenty kilos. So, I
take trousers and T-shirts or pullovers for every day, I pack some underwear, pyjamas and some
extra shoes. I always take my own towels and shower gel, I don’t like using the hotel’s stuff. I take
some important medicine if I have a headache or fever.

I have already travelled by car, bus, train and by plane. My favourite is to travel by car because I can stop
when I want, and it is very comfortable. I can take everything I want, and I can choose what I want to see.
When I travel by car, I look for some nice towns and sights on the way. I plan my journey and I stop here
and there to look some famous castles and other things. So, I think travelling by car is very practical and
comfortable.

I would like to spend a few weeks in Bora-Bora. It is a beautiful tropical island. It is the Paradise for me. I
saw many pictures of it and I love the sandy beaches with crystal clear sea and a lot of sunshine. It is
very far from here, about twenty-five hours by plane. I could relax on the beach or swim in the beautiful
sea and in the evening, I would watch some folklore programme. It would be lovely. I hope I will get
there one day.

put my food. I know that hotels are much more expensive than camp places, but I need these things to feel
good. There are people who love to be close to nature, for them camp places are ideal.

5.1. CAN YOU DESCRIBE YOUR HOUSE OR FLAT?

 

I live in a nice block of flats. We live on the 5th floor, so we have a nice view. There is an elevator in
the building which is very useful although it is often out of order. So, I have to walk up 5 floors, which is
not always a pleasure. We have a kitchen, a bathroom, a living-room, 2 bedrooms and a balcony. My
bedroom is not very big, but I spend most of my time in the living-room. In summer I sunbathe or just relax
on the balcony.

Our neighbourhood is nice and calm. We have got a green park near our house and I often go there to
meet my friends and we can walk a bit, which is very relaxing. The roads are not too busy, and air
is cleaner than in the other parts of the city. When I go into the city centre I can feel the polluted air.
The public transport is comfortable, and I don’t have to use my car.

shelves there are many books. I love reading, my favourites are the science fiction books. Next to the bed
there is a desk where I usually learn, and my computer is here too.

In the living-room I usually watch TV in the evening. There is a comfortable sofa opposite the TV. When I

there are too many people and cars so in the afternoon there are always traffic jams. These can
be stressful, but I like living here.

6.1. WHAT DO YOU USUALLY EAT?

 

In the morning I always eat some toast with butter and salami and I have a cup of coffee. After that I am
fine without eating anything until lunch. During work I usually drink some mineral water. I have lunch at
my workplace, there is a great canteen and I can have really good food. In the afternoon I sometimes have
chocolate or some snacks, and in the evening when I get home I only eat sandwiches for dinner.

To tell you the truth, I can’t cook very well. In the evening or at the weekend I sometimes

cooks my favourite dishes when she has time.

My favourite food is coated chicken breast with mashed potatoes and pickles. My mum can make it

really well. She puts some spices in the coating besides the flour, eggs and breadcrumbs and her mashed
potato is fantastic. She adds extra butter and some milk to the potato and these make it really soft.

Well, there are many world-famous Hungarian dishes. From the soups Goulash and fish soup are the best-
known. I like Goulash very much, but I don’t eat fish, I don’t like that I have to be careful with
the fishbone. From the main courses the best is the stuffed cabbage, but it is really spicy and heavy. In
general, Hungarian dishes are spicy and heavy so you should be careful with your weight. From the
desserts sponge cake Somló style is the best, it contains a lot of chocolate and some nuts and we
put whipped cream on the top. I love it.
