How to Create Machine Breakdown or General Breakdown/Maintenance

Notification:
Step 1 − To create machine breakdown or general breakdown/maintenance notification/ report,
use T-code − IW21
Step 2 − Click Create Notification and you will be prompted to select a Notification type. Click
to get the dropdown list and select the field. Select the notification type as ZB for reporting a
breakdown notification.
Step 3 − Click the tick mark at the top.
Step 4 − In the next window, enter the notification description. To get the functional location, go
to the functional location field and search from the available list.
Step 5 − Next is to select the Equipment. Select the Equipment number by technical Id number
and click the tick mark button to populate this.
Step 6 − Enter the value for the following fields −

 Planner group field


 Main WorkCtr. field
 Reported by field
 Subject Long Text field
 Coding
 Breakdown or not (put tick mark to breakdown if it is an event of breakdown).
 Breakdown Duration (in case of breakdown; in hours)
 Give details description of notification.
Select Coding to specify type of breakdown:
From the Effect TAB, input appropriate breakdown Effect

Step 7 − Once you enter all the fields, click the green tick mark at the top.
Step 8 – Save the notification number for future reference.
How to Close Machine Breakdown or General Breakdown/Maintenance
Notification:
Once the machine undergoes breakdown or general breakdown maintenance has been performed
by the relevant department, the notification reporter will close the notification from the user end.
The below steps are to be followed to close the notification:

Step 1 – Use the T-code − IW28 to change the maintenance order.


Step 2 – A screen like given in the picture will appear. You can search the desired notification
by notification Status/ Date Range/ Notification Type.
To search by notification type select type from drop down menu as described:
Else if you have the notification number available you can directly input the number in
notification field:

Step 3 – Now select the status as: CUBD- Clearance By User Dept.
Step 4 – Now save the notification and exit.
