- Digital technology such as social media platforms

- Most teens feel more confident on social media rather than having face to face
instructions.

c. What are the positive aspects of digital use by young people?


- Positive aspects of technology for the youth include being able to speak more freely
(finding one's voice/community) online, learning/knowledge gains,
communication/engagement with others, and creative exploration.

d. How does young people´s use of social networking change, according to Amanda
Lenhart?
- Amanda Lenhart says as teens get older and given more freedom, they ease up on
social networking. Early on, the web is their 'third space', but by the late teens, it´s
replaced in reaction to greater autonomy.

e. In what way do teens change the way they behave online with more experience?
- Teens with more experience tend to use less social media. They are more of visual
people.

f. Why are parents wrong to think kids don´t care about online privacy?
- Teens spend hours spending of social media settings to minimuze traces trough the
applications.

g. What is a “new social skill” young people have today?


- Learning how to behave online is a new social skill for teenagers.
