jQuery Carousel Evolution for WordPress

Introduction
jQuery Carousel Evolution for WordPress is a WordPress plugin that allows you to easily create
powerfull carousel slider in a few minutes. You can then integrate it into any page with a single
shortcode. It includes a full back-end interface to create and customize your Carousel. It also
offers a preview mode to easily try out some settings before pushing them live.

The Carousel also supports YouTube videos and Vimeo videos, enabling you to play your
chosen videos directly into your Carousel !
Installation
1 - Copy the "carousel_wpress" folder into your wordpress "wp-content/plugins/" folder using
your favorite FTP program.

2 - Go to your WordPress "Manage Plugins" page, find the "Carousel Evolution for
WordPress" in your plugins list and click on activate.

That’s it for the installation !


Carousel management

Creating a Carousel and its entries

Once the plugin has been activated you will notice a new menu on the side called “Carousel
WPress” enabling you to create and manage your carousels.

Create your new carousel by choosing a name and hit the save button. You will then be
redirected to a page where you can add your carousels entries.

Each slide correspond to one entry. You can define the main slide image URL, the url to open
when the image is clicked and the title.

Note also that you can define the slide type: image or video. For the video type you can use
a YouTube or Vimeo video link to make the video play directly into the carousel when the main
image is clicked.
View the carousels list

Clicking on the “Carousel WPress” link from the side bar displays the list of all the carousels you
have added. You can edit each one, edit each carousel entries, and you can delete as well.

Editing carousel entries

Each image bellow correspond to a carousel entry (a slide). Click on each image in order to be
able to edit that entry.
Preview mode

From the carousels list page, clicking on the preview link will take you to a page where you can
preview your carousel before integrating in to your pages. It also enable you to copy/paste the
shortcode to use.

By default the shortcode correspond to your saved carousel settings. But from that page, you
can change all your carousel settings and view the changes right away, and get the correct
shortcode to use.

That way you can use one same carousel, and create from it different kind of carousels (one
with the reflection feature for ex, another with a different display style etc) !
Integrating a carousel into your page

When you have finished creating and customizing your carousel, from the preview mode you
will be able to see a shortcode to use. Just copy code that code into any post or page and the
carousel will be integrated.

Please note that you can play with the width and height of the carousel zone, and also with the
width and height of the front image. Also note that for better displays, use a layout with a full
page (without a side bar). that way you can have your carousel displayed on the full with page.
