TOTAL 142(Teachers) - 9 (MT-I) = 133 x 0.10= 13 MT I
There will be 13 Master Teacher-I needed in our district. There are 9 MT-I
existing. The number of vacant positions for Master Teacher I as of JANUARY 11, 2021 is 4.
Since there’s an existing of 0.30 from the 13, it is a must to add one (1) MT-I to cater the needs
of Master Teacher-I shortage in the district. With this, the district still needs 5 qualified MT-I.
Furthermore, after the promotion of the additional 5 MT-I, the district will no longer open for
application for promotion for MT-I, unless there are vacancies for the position if MT-II will be
filled up. Attached is the DECS Order # 57, s. 1997 dated August 1, 1997 (Reference: MEC
Order #10, s. 1979) that supports this matter.
