This document discusses pressure drop calculations for a packed bed. It provides equations and parameters to calculate pressure drop based on the Ergun equation, including sphericity, particle diameter, bed porosity, packed bed diameter and length, particle and gas densities and viscosities, and gas flowrate. It also calculates minimum fluidization velocity, where pressure drop is balanced by particle weight, and maximum superficial velocity before particles are carried away. A pressure drop plot versus superficial gas velocity is presented.
