This weekly home learning plan outlines the lessons and activities for 9th grade students in Mathematics for Week 4. The plan includes 3 days of lessons on solving problems involving parallelograms, trapezoids, and kites. The lessons provide definitions, properties, examples, and practice problems. Students are assigned to complete practice problems, self-assessments, and design a study table applying their knowledge of quadrilaterals. The plan aims to help students continue learning mathematics at home through engaging independent and group activities.

Lesson 1:
Solving Problems involving Parallelograms, Trapezoids, and Kites

What’s In pages 4-5

What’s New page 6
Activity 1. What’s my Name?
Direction: Identify which property and/or theorem is applied in each situation.
Answer: Parallelogram Property 1

What Is It pages 7-8

Solving Problems Involving Theorems on Parallelograms
Solving Problems Involving Theorems on Trapezoids
Solving Problems Involving Kites

What’s More page 9

Activity 2. Show More What You’ve Got!
Direction: Solve each problem completely and accurately on a clean sheet of paper.
Show your solution and write the theorems or properties you applied to justify each
step in the solution process. You may illustrate each given, to serve as your guide. Be
sure to box your final answer.

1. Given: Quadrilateral WISH is a parallelogram.

Answer: a = 25,b = 18, dimensions are 11 cm x 17 cm, area is a87 cm

What I Have Learned page 9

A parallelogram is __________________________________________________.
The five properties of a parallelogram that I need to remember are the following:
1. In a parallelogram, any two opposite sides are congruent.
2. In a parallelogram, any two opposite angles are congruent.
3. In a parallelogram, any two consecutive angles are supplementary.
4. The diagonals of a parallelogram bisect each other.
5. A diagonal of a parallelogram forms two congruent triangles.

What I Can Do pages 10-11

Activity 3. Fantastic Quadrilatable!
Goal: To design a study table having parts showing the different quadrilaterals (out of
recyclable materials if possible)
Role: Design engineers
Audience: Mathematics club adviser and all Mathematics teachers
Situation: The Mathematics Club of your school initiated a project entitled “Operation
Quadrilatable” for the improvement of your Mathematics Park/Center. Your group is
tasked to design and create a study table having parts showing the different
quadrilaterals (out of recyclable materials if possible) using Euclidean tools (a
compass and a straightedge) and present your output to the Mathematics Club adviser
and all Mathematics teachers for evaluation. By having an additional study table in
the park, students shall have more opportunities to study their lessons either
individually or in groups. In this way, they will continue to learn loving and to love
learning Mathematics in particular and all subjects in general.
Product: “Quadrilatable” as study table
Standards: Accuracy, creativity, stability, and mathematical justification
Assessment pages 12-14
Let us determine how much you have learned from this module. Read and understand
each item, then choose the letter of your answer and write it on your answer sheet.

Answer: C

Additional Activities pages 14-15

1. ABCD is a parallelogram in which ∠A = 110°. Find the measure of ∠B, ∠C and

∠D.
2. Two adjacent angles of a parallelogram are equal. What is the measure of each of
angle?
Answer: 1. 70;110;70
