Languange Program Proposal
Languange Program Proposal
In learning, there are four macro skills that we must deal with in order to
communicate effectively. Macro skills refer to the primary, key, main, and largest skill
set relative to a particular context. It is commonly referred to in English language. The
four macro skills are reading, listening, writing, and speaking. Each skill has its reasons
of why we should be knowledgeable on how to communicate using the four macro
skills.
The objective of this language program is to offer a proposal for the teaching of
the four useful macro skills in all the language courses of North Luzon Philippines State
College. The main aim of the proposal is to teach the macro skills and its usage
according to new approaches and to motivating strategies.
These skills are essential for communicating. It is tough to study a balance of the
four macro skills which are writing, reading, writing, and listening. Being good at only
one of these communicative skills will not help us smooth away the difficulties in
communicating. With these four macro skills and with the help of this program, it can
make a big difference in your work place in social situations and personal achievements.
Learning and consistently seeking to improve these macro skills are important for
effective communication and to be successful in many different perspectives.
TIME FRAME
The schedule of the language program (Improving the Learners’ Macro Skills in
the Use of Language and Competency) will be a 10-day event with 4 hours each day for
a total of 40 hours of learning and experience. The exact dates for its two consecutive
week event will be from March 23 to 27, 2020; and March 30 to April 03, 2020 --- 1:00
pm to 4:00 pm.
VENUE
The location of the macro skills language program will be at the North Luzon
Philippines State College gymnasium, San Nicolas, Candon City Ilocos Sur. This location
is finalized, as it will offer a convenient place for the target learners of the school,
where it will be easy for them to reach, as they are already aware of the location and
have an idea about the vicinity. Another reason to finalize the school gymnasium as
the location is to ensure that the staff and learners can have practically relate to the
training by interacting with real-life scenarios of school and academic competence after
training.
BENEFICIARIES
The target group of the said event of teaching Macro skills involves the students
taking up language and culture courses, especially in English.
