Do Technological Devices Bring More Good Than Bad To People

1. The document discusses whether technological devices bring more good or harm. It notes that while technology has made life more convenient, it has also caused issues like sleep problems, stress, and laziness. Overall, it seems technology can be both helpful and harmful. 2. The second section argues that governments should continue funding technological research and development despite current issues. Research is needed for a country to advance its own technologies rather than relying on other countries. While misuse of funds is possible, research could lead to breakthroughs. 3. 1. Do technological devices bring more good than bad to people?

The use of technology has made everyday life more convenient for
everyone. Unfortunately, as a result, it has led to trouble sleeping,
created unnecessary stress for its users and has increased laziness. It
would appear that technology is just as harmful as it is helpful.

All the Yes points:

 Medical Technology
 Communication
 Camera
 Microwave
 Cell phones

All the No points:

 It could become out of control
 It could lead us to the end of the world earlier then it should naturally
 Child education and communication
 No to modern technology
 Increase in destruction from equipment in wars or fights
 Is Technology Bad for you?

2. Should there be more budget for technological resources despite the

dilemmas they are currently facing?

Whatever the dilemma we are facing, i hope the government will

provide budget to researches. By time we will be more reliant on our
own technology and discovery than buying millions/thousands of dollars
using the ideas and gadgets from other countries. Other than having a
reliant technology of our own (if it comes) we can make use of our time
efficiently or have positive outcomes with all the researches… be it in
farming (fish, any kind of plantation), technology, anything and
everything. It’s time for the inventors to move their passion and change
the world here in Philippines.
I believe that every successful material, process, venture, or product
undergone numerous researches before it became what we use today. I
believe that increasing the budget for technological research is one of
the best investment that we could ever have if we want to have our own
technological advancement. Though there are possibilities of negative
acts in handling the budget, or unpredictable results that may not be in
favor with us, there is still a great possibility that one of these researches
would make a break in the industry.

Purpose of Research
It serves as proof of something hypothetical in nature. It is the evidence
whether a statement is factual or not, an idea is applicable or not, or an
activity is feasible or not. By taking the proper steps, we can come into a
conclusion that would be beneficial before taking major courses of
action.
It provides foresight of the plan that you are preparing. By conducting a
research, you will be able to see your proposal as you track the record
of your research. Most researchers are open minded, thinking ahead for
things that might not go along with their way. With that, they have an
alternative action in mind once it happened. Failure is not an option for
them. That is just another stepping stone in proving their theories.
Research is one of the nature of technology. There is no technology
without research. Technology is the product of information gathering,
thorough planning, systematic implementation of steps, unbiased
analysis and evaluation. Technological advancements are innovations of
an existing technology used to bring further benefits to something that is
already beneficial and research plays an important factor for it.

3. Should there be a limit to technological advancement?

The thing about technological advancement is that it’s inevitable. It’s a part of
life. It does not have a pulse, but it’s a living thing and in the way of all living
things, there’s growth.

Since the inception of human existence, each generation has experienced

progressions and advancements relevant to its time. I was born in the late
eighties and the first major advancement of my time was the internet. Since
then my generation has had a front row seat to some of the most extreme
technological advancements in history; artificial intelligence, robotics, and
telephones that allow you to see your loved ones while on two different
continents, just to name a few.

Technology is driven by consumer demand. Telephones, computers, and

watches do more than just their innate purpose now, and as long as the public
hands over the cash, technology will continue to expand—which is why it’s
advancing at an exceptional rate. In the past it used to take centuries for
innovation to take root and today breakthroughs occur almost daily. It’s mind-
blowing that we are witnessing so much change in our lifetime, but with a vast
amount of technology already in play, change happens faster. It’s simply our
new normal.

So why would anyone fear these advancements? For some people, the
expansion of technology is a little frightening. There are those who wonder
that if technology is growing this fast in such a brief amount of time, could it
accelerate into uncomfortable territory? IE, the common question: Could
technology completely take over? However, it’s not the fear of technology that
drives this question— it’s not knowing how far technology might expand, and
how society may potentially be affected by its growth that evokes trepidation.
With the reality of active artificial intelligence and engineers currently toying
around with robotics, some worry on a fundamental level that if technology
continues to roll full speed ahead, do we run the risk of losing our humanity. I
don’t think so. And I hope not.

Technology has indeed made things easier for us, but we have to make sure
that we don’t lose our dexterity in the innovation. It’s our responsibility to find a
balance where technology properly serves our needs without losing our
intrinsic ingenuity. The key is to minimize its misuse, restrain ourselves from
overuse, and increase its potential to create a better future for all of us.

Technology has changed the world in ways our ancestors probably could not
imagine. If we use it properly we will change the world for the better. It will
cure diseases, open many doors, and provide intelligence. Technology is
shaping the future—it should not be feared. And If it ends up devastating us
due to misuse and corruption, than we only have ourselves to blame.
