Ok, so first of all, just close your eyes for me, and begin to just take some nice
deep breaths.......just to your own level of comfort......
Just invite your mind to begin to watch the breath......so all its doing is simply
watching the In and the Out breath......that’s it.......and that’s all it has to do –
watch the breath.....
And so, every breath you are taking – is just relaxing you more and more
deeply.....and any sounds you hear – my voice, the music, any sounds inside
this room or outside the room are just going to simply help you to relax.........
So, you can just allow your breathing to return to normal now, but as you do,
know that it is taking you more and more relaxed....
Any irritations your conscious mind tries to give you will also help you to relax
even more.......and you can chose to listen to my voice, or not to listen, the
choice is yours.......your conscious or unconscious mind will also make that
choice, so you can now just simply relax and just let go.....
So, I want to you to begin to focus on the top of your head for me....and I
want you to imagine that there’s a deep wave of relaxation that’s going to
come through the mind and the body, and that wave of relaxation is simply
and easily going to take you to another level of relaxation as you go deeper
and deeper down.....
So, you can imagine the wave of relaxation as a colour, sense it there, or just
trust that its there – either way is fine....
It begins to come in through the forehead and down into those thousands of
tiny muscles in your face......slowly relaxing them as it does.....it continues on
as it moves down your neck and increases even more and it works all the way
down to the bottom of the spine.......going into each muscle, cell and fibre of
your back......releasing, relaxing and cleansing........
It moves up over the shoulders and through the arms, and all the way to the
ends of your fingers......at some point you may feel a slight tingling in the
fingertips or a warmth in the palm of your hand and if you do.....that is
absolutely fine.........
It works deeper, as it moves over your chest and belly, down through the hips,
the legs and knees, and all the way down through the calms to the tips of your
toes......taking you twice as deep, twice as relaxed........
So I want you to imagine that there is a beautiful staircase in the sky, and that
staircase has 10 beautiful steps.....leading all the way down to the most
relaxing perfect place for you right now......and in a moment, I’m going to
count all the way down those steps.....and with each step that you take, your
going to find that you easily, and naturally become 10 times more deeper
relaxed with each step......that’s right......becoming 10 times more deeper
relaxed with each step you take.....
So, standing on that top step, and taking that first step down.....
10......9..........relaxing more and more as you do..... 8.....7.............beginning
to feel 10 times more relaxed with each step..... 6.....5.............relaxing more
and more........
You can just enjoy being in that beautiful relaxed space......take some deep
breaths and really feel that space now....taking into every level of your
being........that’s right.....and whenever you imagine taking yourself down that
staircase into that wonderful place that appeals to you now....you will get this
sense of relaxation where everything else melts away....and that relaxation will
stay with you, working with you, all day.......
Or
Okay so let's start by you closing your eyes for me & taking some nice deep
breaths........
And those nice deep breaths are just to your own level of comfort. So just
bring your mind to you just taking the in breath and the out breath........... so
all that is happening right now is that your mind is just watching you breathe
in........ and breathe out..... So it's almost that your breathing in comfort,
peace and relaxation......and you're just exhaling any tightness.... any
tension.... anything that really isn't needed in your mind and body you can just
allowed to escape right now.....
And just let that breathing become nice and relaxed now... So that each breath
now continues in its normal relaxed way and just sits in the background... So
as that sits in the background, we can just invite that busy conscious mind to
take a backseat and also sit in the background... And as that happens, as they
sit in the background, that now allows for the real authentic Inner you to step
forward and take this journey today......
So in a moment my hand is going to touch your left knee very lightly and as
that happens.....each time that happens .....this is just a sign for you to go
deeper within yourself and deeper within relaxation ... And take a nice be deep
breath for me......(On the out breath touch your clients need lightly....
checking that this is okay with them in the pre-talk)
Every breath that your taking is now taking you into just a nice deep level of
relaxation... Any sounds that your hearing - my voice, the music, any sounds
inside or outside this room are going to take you even deeper........Any
irritations that the conscious mind tries to give you are just going to take you
to an even deeper level of relaxation........
So I want you to now focus on the top of your head for me..... and as you
focus on the top of your head..... I want you to just begin to imagine, sense,
feel or trust that there's going to be a nice deep wave of relaxation that’s going
to just begin to just work through your body and your mind.... You can
imagine this deep wave of relaxation as your favourite healing colour so you
can watch this happening.... or you can just sense, feel or trust that this does
happen..... however it works for you is absolutely fine......
Focusing now on the top of your head for me ......as a nice deep wave of
relaxation begins to just come in through the top of your head.....move down
through the forehead and feel it moving behind the eyes..... through the
eyes...... and behind the eyelids...... Feel it moving down into the thousands of

tiny muscles in the cheeks, face and jaw and feel it just gently moving over the
throat and towards the back of your neck. Feel this wave continue as it moves
down towards the very base of your spine, relaxing, releasing and just letting
go... This wave moves out into every muscle... cell and fibre of your back as
you just continue to just relax 3.........2...........1...........
Feel the wave move over your shoulders, chest and tummy and all the way
back down your arms right to the very tips of your fingers... And at some point
you may feel a slight tingling in the fingertips, or warmth in the palm of your
hands, and if you do - then that's fine, that's just a sign of tension leaving the
body and mind...and if you don’t, then that fine too, trust that are you relaxing
to new deep levels, and are letting go.....
Feel the wave move through the hips, legs........knees........calf’s...... and all
the way down to the tips of the toes... Taking you twice as deep, twice as
relaxed. Feel the wave move..... from the toes to the head and right back
down to the toes again.......beginning now to feel the support of the chair/or
bed (whichever is appropriate) that is supporting the body and with every
breath
It’s almost that you just sink down and deeper down into that support...
Letting your body become heavier and heavier as the higher mind becomes
more clear, more alert and more receptive.
Feel yourself now begin to just mentally move higher and away from this
room... Higher and higher into the distance....... towards a beautiful meadow
that surrounded by a magical circle of trees.... See yourself now floating down
towards this magical circle of trees without any resistance to the Earth itself...
Feel yourself now in that meadow with those long blades of grass that float
around your legs and feet...... where the weather is a perfect temperature and
you feel completely calm, safe and relaxed.
You notice that to reach the magical circle of trees there is a single pathway
which leads you to that circle. Begin to just feel yourself now take those few
steps along the pathway feeling the ground underneath you.....feeling the
path... As you enter that magical circle of trees there is one tree in particular
that stands out to you, and as you take a step over to the tree..... you imagine
taking a finger and just running it down the bark of that tree......and as that
happens the most wonderful healing energy comes from that tree into every
level of your being... And take a deep breath... Allowing that wonderful healing
You become aware of a bubbling brook or river that’s nearby and you once
again just begin to just take those steps over to that brook or that river...each
step taking you more relaxed.... As you reach the side of the river or brook...
You imagine kneeling down and as you kneel down its almost that the energy
pulls you deeper and deeper down....... into the deep levels of total and utter
relaxation.. You then take your hand and just dip your hand into the water and
take a sip from that wonderful healing energy...... and notice how that feels as
it runs down your throat into your belly..... notice how good that feels and
again you take a deep breath and let that revitalising re-energising energy
come through every level of your being...
You now become aware of a staircase, and this staircase is the staircase of
your life, and this staircase has (HOWEVER OLD THEY ARE)...... Steps... And
that's one step for each year of your life... In a moment I’m going to count
from 5 to 1 and as I count from 5 to 1 you going to find you just begin to just
drift and float towards that top step..... the top step of your staircase of your
life....and with each count of the numbers your relaxation doubles and deepens
allowing you to just continue to relax and let go...and take a big deep breath
for me.......that’s right.....
5.....4... Just relaxing...... beginning to just drift and float towards that top
step... 3........2....... Relaxation doubling and deepening with each count of the
numbers... And 1........now finding yourself on the top step of the staircase of
your life...
Example (if they are 30) 30... 29... 28... Beginning to just drift and float past
each number......enabling each number to take you deeper than you've ever
been before... 26... 24... 22... Knowing that the deeper you go, the better it
feels and the better it feels the deeper that you can go... 20... 18... 16...
Trusting yourself, your intuition, and me in this whole process... 14... 12...
10... Just becoming younger and younger as you go deeper and deeper...
9....8.....7...... Relaxing easier and deeper, easily naturally... 6.....5.....4.......
Deeper and deeper - easier and easier... 3.....2.....1....... Deeper and deeper
relaxed.
And if you feel ready to continue...... just taking one big deep breath for
me......feel yourself just relaxing even more...(if no deep breath, discover with
the client what holds them back)
Now you are starting to relax. Let go of any self-doubts and let go of any
anxiousness. Just focus only on the breath, feel this rhythmic sensation as
the breath goes in and out of your lungs.
Feel the tension start to dissipate, sink back into the chair/couch and feel all
of the tension draining away bringing much needed relief.
Now you are feeling peaceful, it’s just you, in your purest form. The you that
existed before you felt anxious and before your life spiralled out of control.
Now, in this moment in time, open your mind, you are free from
pressure….and now, your sub-conscious mind is already starting to look after
you.
You have no more time in your life to waste on negativity, feel it draining
away.. all of the doubts, the fears and inner turmoil……..just let it go..
When you hold onto your fears, you narrow your true potential; you restrict
your life, as if you are a prisoner inside your own body.
Deep inside you, you are a positive, confident person, it’s time to break free
of the barriers that hold you back in life, it’s time to release the real you, the
one who feels confident, relaxed and capable.

Inhale slowly and as you do so, feel all the positive healing energy come
flooding in. You feel instantly positive..and now, you have hope… Exhale
slowly, relaxing your body even more…
Imagine that inner you breaking free from the confines of anxiousness. It
feels good to be free, to break free from those chains and to simply
experience the moment, surrounded by positive energy, embrace the
moment, that wonderful feeling of freedom.
This inspiring feeling will continue to grow and you will start to feel stronger
and happier than you ever have been before, it’s time to take back your
life….
As you breathe, you can feel that each inward breath draws in positive
energy, and each outward breath takes away negativity.
Let go of any tension and self-doubts as you breathe out , it’s time to move
away from past anxieties… your future is bright, you have new opportunities
waiting for you, welcome them in……
You can create this sense of confidence and positivity at any time…..you just
need to say, “I am free.”
You deserve to have a full and enriched life. You can do anything that you
want to do, you can go anywhere in life that you choose…..all you have to do
is reach out and take advantage of these wonderful opportunities.
Inhale slowly feeling the air surging into your lungs, expanding them….feel it
healing your mind and body chasing away any shadows of doubt….become
energised, strong and confident.
You can tap into this wonderful feeling at any time, just say, “I am free”.
Your old anxieties have slipped away. Your fears now seem small and
insignificant. They have lost their power over you.
Now you are whole, you are free and your life opens up before you….
Now as we remain in this relaxed state of mind, we can feel all the negative
energy leaving us.
This inspiring feeling will continue to grow and you will start to feel more
motivated than you ever have been before
As you breathe, you can feel that each inward breath takes in positive
energy, and each outward breath takes away negativity.
Now that your body and mind is flooded with positive energy, you are feeling
charged, inspired and encouraged. You are feeling so motivated.
You can feel how easy it will be to write down your future goals

You can see how easy it will be to plan out your desires, and to act upon
them.
Let go of any tension and self-doubts, don’t hold on to the past, welcome in
the present, welcome in the future...your future...feel the weight of lethargy
and self-doubt falling away from you.
It gives you a warm feeling to know that you are now in control of your
future.
Motivation comes easy now…. You see it as if a tangible force, you can feel
the pureness of energy and you now have hope and inspiration..
As you allow your breath to come and go with rhythmic certainty, your
motivation increases.
Now you can see that with motivation comes success….you have complete
control of your future…
Each time you say yes, that same energy and feeling of control comes
flooding back to you.
This makes you understand that you deserve success and success is
attracted to you.
You will never have a problem with motivation again, it’s a part of you now
and you will never let it go…
Each new day brings in a wonderful feeling of control as you now know you
are open to new opportunities
Without barriers, that feeling of positivity gives you a feeling of pure joy.
The motivation you now have can conquer anything; there are no obstacles,
only challenges.
You now know that there are no limitations. You can achieve anything you

Nothing can stand in your way as the most powerful positive thoughts flow

mind allows this to happen as it recognises the wonderful feeling that floods
through your system as you become more and more focused and

All doors will open as you accept that you are part of this abundant flow of
motivational energy. You are in charge of your own destiny…….
Let any tension slip away as you relax into the moment.
In this deeply relaxed, warm safe state of mind, remember that you are
open to change. Any negative thoughts or behaviours can slowly
dissipate, in this safe, nurturing feeling of deep relaxation, important
changes can be made.
All changes come from within. You have an abundance of confidence and
self-worth buried deep within, now you have to be able to free this inner
you.
Let go of guilt
Relax into the moment; let the tension dissipate from your body.
It’s time to discover the true reason why you turn to chocolate
Turn your attention inwards and then let any negative thoughts go
Say it, feel it, mean it with every part of you. Believe in it.
Inhale slowly, visualise the air a brightly coloured blue, it’s a beautiful
shade that enters your lungs and filters through your whole body….it’s a
healing breath and when you exhale, you release your addiction, you
release your need for chocolate comfort…the need evaporates into the air.
Feel cleansed
Feel refreshed…
Believe that you no longer need to hide behind chocolate. Your true
happiness is within you all the time. As you gradually face any emotional
issues or as you face your fears, you will not need any external support
Right now, you are growing stronger. You feel positive, you feel safe and
comfortable.
You are likable, you are a kind person, people are drawn to you.
As you begin to see your own true worth, you will extend this feeing
outwards. Confidence and inner happiness is truly attractive.
As you give yourself up to these changes, you will care about the food
you eat. As you start to feel better, your attention will turn to healthier
food that gives you more energy and this enables you to live a truly
fulfilling life.
You can return to this feeling of relaxation and calm at any time
You can use the trigger “I am free from my addiction” to stay strong and
chocolate free.
Now that you are feeling relaxed and comfortable, we will discuss the fear
of driving. Everyone experiences a little nervousness and so although this
can be a normal reaction, it must not become overpowering.
It’s very natural to be apprehensive and forms part of our fight or flight
mechanism but it’s important to replace any negativity associated with
driving with powerful, positive suggestions so you will enjoy driving again.
Now, as you sink deeper into a relaxed state, it’s time to place positive
suggestions into your sub-conscious mind.
Let go of any tension and anxiety…feel yourself becoming more and more
relaxed…
This calmness helps you to understand that fear is just within you but it
does not own you.
As long as you remain calm, you will stay in control. Fear cannot touch
you now.

Deep breathing
I want you to visualise someone else getting into a car…as if you are
watching a film, the scene is acting out in front of you. You hear the
engine starting and see the car pulling away. From your vantage point
you can see that the car is being driven beautifully and with confidence.
The car is manouvered successfully into the flow of traffic, further down
the road, it slows down for a red light, the car then pulls away with ease,
there is a smooth transition of the gears and the journey is without
problems.
Now, the car has to drive past you and as it does so, you see the driver
looking relaxed…and confident…
This person has no fear because there is a sense of calmness. It does not
matter to them if they are alone on the road or, if there multiple cars or
even traffic jams. They enjoy the sensation of driving. They are in control
of the vehicle. They are aware.
Now breathe deeply and slowly, I want you to know that it was you
driving that car. You were fully in control, you enjoyed the journey.
It is time to let go of this fear and to embrace this positive, calm and
confident new you.
You can easily regain this wonderful feeling of confidence, all you have to
do is repeat these words: “I am calm and in control” while breathing
slowly and deeply.
You can do this anytime you like and your sub-conscious mind will hear
and respond.
This feeling will just grow stronger and stronger each time you say, “I am
calm and in control”
Once you understand that this sense of calmness and control was always
yours, you understand that fear has no place in your life.
Now you are feeling deeply relaxed, we will take the session even further.
Notice how my voice remains at one tone and how slowly I speak. All the
suggestions you hear will be absorbed in your sub-conscious mind. This
serves to replace your fears.
As your breathing becomes deeper and slower, you also become more
relaxed. You remain deeply calm.
This is the same sense of peace that you can experience while on a plane.
When you think of flying ask yourself why you experience fear of flying
Remember that any negative aspect associated with flying is now well and
truly in the past.
It cannot have any effect on you now unless you let it.
It might be that you are visiting family or friends and their lives will be
made far better for seeing you.
Consider the lives of the people you go with, your presence will make the
journey so much better…
There is no reason to worry about your next flight. The journey will be
pleasurable and you will be totally calm…..
Can you feel this wonderful feeling of calmness flooding through your
system?
It feels good
It feels safe
You are in plenty of time and everything is going to plan. You can see
everyone around you looking relaxed and happy.
There is no fear
You sit down and breathe deeply and tell yourself that you feel calm.
When you board the plane, the stewardess smiles at you. She looks
relaxed. There is no sense of anxiousness.
You still feel calm and in control as you take your seat
When the plane takes off, you start to think about your destination and
what it will be like there.
Everyone around you is happy and you smile because the atmosphere is
one of pleasure….it’s nice to be sat amongst happy people.
Flying is enjoyable….
You know that flying is safe. The stewards fly several times a week. They
are not anxious…
Your fears are your own and now, they are slipping away…
The more you say this, the more it is reinforced into your subconscious.
The change within you is already happening. You are already moving
away from your fear.
There is no reason why each flight can’t become more and more relaxed
for you.
You know that you can become calm at any point you choose. You will
always remain calm
As you are now in an open and relaxed frame of mind, we will discuss the
fear of heights. Although this is a normal reaction, it must not become
overpowering.
So it’s very natural to have some fear and this forms part of our fight or
flight mechanism. If left unmanaged, this fear can become crippling and it
can impact your life negatively.
Now, as you sink deeper into a relaxed state we will begin to place
positive suggestions into your sub-conscious mind. Feel yourself
becoming more and more relaxed…
Now you are deep within a relaxed state and you feel comfortable..
This calmness helps you to understand that fear is just within you but it is
not part of you.
In fact as long as you retain this sense of calmness then fear cannot
control you.
This calm feeling can be yours at anytime, it empowers you and gives you
more confidence.
It’s very easy for you to visualise yourself climbing a little higher at a
time. There is no need for fear…
Or climbing a ladder…
I want you to visualise someone else walking over the bridge….they are
calm and relaxed, it becomes obvious to you that no harm will come to
them.
They show no fear because when they are calm, the fear is kept at bay.
They walk across the bridge in the same way as walking on the ground.
There is no fear.
Calm and relaxed, their mind is probably thinking about something else
completely, even though they are aware of where they are and their
surroundings.
Now I want you to see and feel how relaxed they are.
Now as you breathe deeply and slowly, I want you to know that it was
you walking across that bridge.
The outcome will always be the same, you will remain safe and calm.
And as you relax even more, any last doubts leave your body and mind.
To get back to this wonderful feeling of complete calmness and control, all
you have to do is repeat the words “I remain calm and in control” while
breathing slowly and deeply.
You can do this anytime you like and your sub-conscious mind will hear
and respond.
It is part of you and will just grow stronger and stronger each time you
use it.
Once you understand that calmness and control was always yours it gives
you a massive boost in confidence
Breathing deeply and saying “I remain calm and in control” reinforces this
feeling and becomes just a natural part of you.
Now you are in a deeply relaxed state, it becomes easier to talk about
your fears and your fear of needles.
As you grow deeper and deeper into this relaxed state, you will feel the
tension slip from your body; you sink into the chair/couch and feel fully
relaxed and calm.
Deep down, you already know that injections although not pleasant, they
are necessary and help you.
Your subconscious mind is there to protect you but it is instilling fear and
anxiety in a bid to help you avoid such situations but this is not
necessary. As we connect with your subconscious mind, you will feel the
anxiety about injections slipping away.
There is nothing to fear from the needle. The fear is irrational and it now
has no place in your life. When connected with any deeply buried
emotions from the past, it’s time to let go.

Let go of the inner fears and realise that blood tests can save your life.
There is no place for this fear in the present time or, in the future.
I want you now to visualise the good that comes from having an injection.
Any illnesses or health warnings can be prevented….you can live for
longer – feel healthier and will be vibrantly alive.
There is no pain.
There is no fear.
More breathing techniques that will help install a deeper and relaxed
state.
You can recall these wonderful feelings of relaxation at any point in your
life….
This is exactly how you will feel when you are next are waiting for an
injection.
Nothing will change after the injection; there will be no pain and no
discomfort.
Inhale slowly and deeply and bring yourself back to this point right now.
This feels good to you.
I want you to remember that you are firmly in control and that you have
made the decision to have an injection because you know deep within in
your subconscious mind that it is the best thing for you.
When you are about to have the injection, just let your mind drift back to
this positive and relaxed state. You are in control.
There is no pain…
There is no anxiety…
Each time you need to relax you can and this will consistently reinforce
this feeling of being in control.
Once you understand that you are in control, all your fears will disappear
and you will feel happy and relaxed.
It is easy for you to return to this relaxed state of mind and every time
you do, it will just keep getting easier……
You will begin to wonder why you were ever nervous at all.
When you walk into the room you instantly feel confident. You look
forward to the moment when you can perform because you know you will
do so with ease.
As you feel the warmth from the crowd, you grow ever more confident.
You feel relaxed, extremely relaxed and as each second passes, you feel
your confidence growing. Any tension or nervousness starts to dissipate;
your inner confidence is strong, you can feel it and now acknowledge it.
If you feel any tension, now is the time to let it go and to simply be….
Your mouth feels moist and your neck and shoulders are
relaxed….completely relaxed.
There is no fear about speaking in public; you have such a deep sense of
belief within you.
You hold your head up high and as you gaze around the room, you feel
the respect from others. You feel their trust in you and you feel inspired.

You know that you attract people to you because you are confident and
likeable.
You want to speak, you want to hold the attention of everyone and enjoy
the moment. It’s important to you to project your message to others. You
look forward to making that happen.
You are confident and relaxed…..you feel a deep sense of inner peace….
It feels very natural to speak to these people, you will perform with
confidence, you will look and feel totally relaxed. You want them to hear
you and you know that they will listen.
Pause….
You find it easy to link topics together, and everything flows naturally like
a river flowing through a valley.
You know that once you start speaking, you become ever more confident
and you hold their attention…people draw near when you speak because
they feel the confident performance and they want to listen to you.
They want to hear every word because you speak with such confidence
and conviction.
This feels so easy and natural for you and it just gets easier all the time.
Any feelings of doubt you once held no longer exists and you are now safe
in the knowledge that you will just keep on getting better and better at
public speaking.
You look on it as a pleasure because you are already so good at what you
do.
You already know that before you start a wave of calmness will wash over
you. This is something that you look forward to.
You are so relaxed that it does not matter how many people you are
speaking to.
Your sub-conscious mind knows that this is so good for you. It continues
to reinforce these ideas and will continue to do so.
There is nothing that can prevent these feeling of pleasure and extreme
confidence now. It has become a part of you.
Your sub-conscious wants this for you and so you will continue to grow
more confident now and each time you speak in public.
It does not matter if you just think it or say it out loud; the effect is just
the same.
You now start to look forward to this part of your role and are ready to
embrace it….….
You are now drifting into this deeper place where your body and mind are
beginning to relax….
Notice how you feel almost sleepy but you are still aware of your
surroundings.
When you are in this relaxed and calm place it is easier for us to imagine
different scenarios.
Although this condition has its roots in a fear of open spaces which you
find threatening, it often leads to other aspects of your life very quickly.
You must think of a place where you feel safe and remember that your
fears are only in your imagination.
Once you think of that safe place, imagine it as a bubble around you.
Then imagine moving it to somewhere else. If it was a small room that
felt comfortable to you, just imagine that space in a field. You are safe;
you have your special safe room.
There is no difference, you can and will still feel just as safe and warm
Space is just that, it a pocket of energy that you occupy and it is the
same wherever it is.
As you breathe deeply and slowly you can imagine being in almost any
space possible. It should all feel the same to you.
Breathe in and out slowly, feel every muscle in your body start to relax
As you take more steady breaths in, a flood of warm healing light washes
over you…it is healing, revitalising…
I know you feel safe and calm and I want you to know that you can bring
this feeling back at any time you want.
You have the ability to control this... your mind is very powerful.
Once you have the knowledge to be able to control your emotions then it
empowers you and your self-built barriers will start to crumble. This is
already beginning to happen right now.
Now you feel even more relaxed and calm I want you to understand that
this fear is of your creation.
Panic belongs only to you but now, so does this wonderful feeling of calm
and warmth and this is a strong, safe feeling and an environment that
you could slip into at any point.
You really do have a choice, even if it does not always feel like it.
The next time you feel close to panic I want you to sit down and take
deep breaths and really slow your breathing down, then say to yourself
“I am in a calm place”
Say the words to yourself at any time but mean every word, visualise
them and feel them.
If you need to close your eyes while you do this then that is ok.
Then as you continue to breathe deeply and slowly, imagine all the
feelings of panic leaving your body. You will feel warm and a calm wave of
energy will enter your body.
You can return to this feeling anytime you want and you can even
imagine yourself in situations that you normally fear, and still do this
exercise to bring that calm and safe feeling over you.
The more you practise this, the easier it will become and the more
ingrained into your subconscious it will become too.
Inhale again...slowly, now focus once more on the anger within, visualise
it as a dark knot of energy…exhale and now allow any deeply rooted
anger to drift away
Deeply traumatic events, emotional pain and turmoil…it’s time to let them
all go. Don’t hold onto them. Feel the emotion, visualise it and then
release it.
Now visualise the emotion again in your mind’s eye…shape it, recognise
it and now let it go, let it leave your body and dissipate..
Feel the sensation of release as the dark energy leaves your body…
As you begin to relax even more, you feel the tension slipping away;
there is a sense of peace and warmth around you, protecting you.
Anger is damaging
As you open up and expand the walls of your mind, you instinctively feel
a sense of peace all around you……
It feels good to be free, to feel the pain of anger lifting away from you…
Let it go
Let it go…
Breathing exercise
As the pain dissipates, you feel stronger, lighter …you feel more like the
real you…the person who has been trapped behind inner feelings of pain
and anger..
You are feeling more and more relaxed... you are slipping deeper into a
relaxed state. Tension leaves your body…
Truly happy.
It’s time to let all of the anger go now…don’t hold on to the past...don’t
hold onto the pain…
Breathe deeply; slowly relishing the feeling of the air as it fills your
lungs….life is the breath..
Deep in your sub-conscious mind, you know that anger only holds you
back………
It’s time to tap into this very natural energy flow……..embrace this new
freedom, feel your positive energy surrounding you….
Let your breathing become a rhythmic cycle and visualise the dark energy
leaving your body…on each exhalation
Say these words to reinforce your move towards a new positive life…
Say these words any time you wish to endorse your positive feelings…
These words have the power to generate your healing, giving you
hope…and freedom from pain…
Every time you say those words, even if you just think them, your sub-
conscious mind will respond.
Remember you can come back to this warm feeling anytime you want by
simply saying.....”I am happy being me.”
Now you feel at peace and you can return to this state of mind at any
time you choose…
As you begin to relax, you can feel the darkness of depression moving
away, drifting away….. and as you open up and expand the walls of your
mind, you instinctively feel a sense of peace all around you.
The sensation of pure peace infiltrates your mind as you relax into the
moment.
In this deep relaxed state, remember that life can be different. You just
need to believe. Deep within, there is a happy, confident, inspired person.
Deep down, you know that you are a good person and that you deserve
to be happy.
Truly happy.
Depression can be beaten, you can break free from its confines…right
now, just let go of any fears, any doubts, feel it lifting away….you feel
lighter, free and now…you have hope.
Breathe deeply, slowly relishing the feeling of the air as it fills your
lungs….life is the breath..
Deep in your sub-conscious mind, you know that you are a good person;
you know that you deserve to be truly happy in life.
It’s time to tap into this very natural energy flow……..to free yourself from
the mental confines, all you need to do is to let go of any tension and let
in the positive energy that will heal you.
Breathing exercise
The state of depression held you back but now it is losing its power…you
are emerging from the darkness into the light.
Now exhale and visualise the dark energy leaving your body…
As you breathe in, the bright light enters your body in a continuous cycle
healing you, this continuous flow of positive energy eradicates negative
thoughts and feelings and makes you whole again…
Now focus on your breathing, continuing this cycle of healing as the bright
healing light banishes all negativity….
Pause…
You are becoming self-aware…you are emerging from the sadness and
becoming the real you once more.
Say these words any time you feel sadness rising up…
“I am free.”
Every time you say those words, even if you just think them, your sub-
conscious mind will respond.
Remember you can come back to this warm feeling anytime you want by
simply saying.....”I am happy being me.”
Now you feel at peace and you can return to this state of mind at any
time you choose…
As you begin to relax, you start to understand that change is possible and
that it is not necessary to live in fear…..
In this deep relaxed, warm safe state, remember that all changes come
from within. Your mind is very powerful; we just need to open up your
mind so that you can let go of fear….
Now, as you become more and more relaxed….feel any tension dissipate.
Relax back into your chair/couch….
Open up your mind, and welcome change into your life. You will soon
begin to feel more positive, more confident…and have no fear…
Change happens very easily and even now, in this moment, you start to
feel more positive and to feel comfortable being you…

As you breathe in and out, you feel the flow of positive energy as if
washing over you like the waves on the shoreline…experience this
sensation in full, know that this flow of energy instils peace within you as
you open up your subconscious mind.
Your mind has latched onto an anxiety that has grown out of all
proportion; your sub-conscious mind has simply tried to protect you when
there is no need.
Within your subconscious mind, you recognise that it’s time to let go of
any feelings of anxiety…
I want you to remember that you are firmly in control. You have made
the decision to gain control over your fears and the changes have already
started to happen. Deep within in your subconscious mind, you know that
it is the best thing for you.
“I am not afraid.”
Every time you say those words, even if you just think them, your sub-
conscious mind will respond. You are embedding this powerful thought
into your mind and it now becomes your reality.
I want you now to acknowledge the good in dogs and know that there is
no reason to fear them…
“I am not afraid”
From now on, you will feel confident around dogs…you will grow to like
dogs and you will feel relaxed whatever the situation….
Any negative experience from the past means nothing now….your future
is positive; you no longer have a fear of dogs. You have embraced the
fear and have chosen to let it go.
From this day onwards, your fear will dissipate while your confidence
grows ever higher.
Now you are perfectly relaxed, we can explore your inner thoughts.
All the seasons change, time flows and the seasons bring their own sense
of beauty…. throughout the year. It’s important to understand that
nothing stays the same.
Even the coldness of a winter or the dull skies of a rainy November day,
are just a prelude to change. Even on the dullest day, there is light
penetrating the clouds…casting a glow across the land.
Each day has its own beauty and in turn takes you nearer to the
incredible happiness that is always inside you.
So just by relaxing we can see how it flows together, each day drifting
into another and bringing change
Now, you can control how you feel about each season.
The incredible thing is that now you are in a deeply relaxed state, and you
really can feel how safe and at ease you are within yourself.
It belongs completely to you, and you can feel this way whenever you
want.
It feels good to know that these feelings are within all of the time
It’s almost like a furnace of bright sunshine lives inside you all of the
time…..you can tap into this wonderful energy anytime you want.
Allow your breathing to go even deeper, and as you do this you become
ever more relaxed and content.
As you breathe in, you can feel this light and energy infusing itself
throughout your core.
It spreads its warm glow right through your body and mind.
As you breathe slowly in and out you can actually make this lovely feeling
happen at will.
You can say the words out loud or in your mind “I feel safe, I feel warm
and happy”
Every time you repeat those words, your sub-conscious mind will
reinforce them and it will become easier to feel this wonderful energy.
It’s always part of you and is yours to tap into whenever you wish.
In fact you can start off each day with that wonderful feeling of
contentment simply by saying “I feel safe….I feel warm and happy”
Over time, these words have the power to help you see that there is
beauty in every day.
Now you control how you feel, it actually gives you the power to feel
happy every single day.
This gives you the ability to go where you want and the understanding
that like the seasons you can too change.
You understand that happiness lives in you and change is a good thing.
You can simply tap into this loving light, which is always a part of you, at
anytime …you choose. All you have to do is close your eyes and conjure
up a warm, sunny day where the light shines through and covers you in a
golden haze…..
Feel the beauty all around you and know that you are now in control of
your own connection to the seasons……you’ve made peace with yourself
and with nature.
You know that deep within, you have the power to embrace the golden
light at any time…..
As you begin to relax, you recognise the need to engage with those core
emotions. It is the only way to let go of the inner pain and to move
forward with the grieving process.
Grief can be crippling, it can prevent you from truly dealing with the loss
and can trap the intensity of your emotions…
Give into the sensation of peace that is there for you ….once you have
accepted your loss and engaged with your emotions…
As you inhale and then exhale, feel the tension dissipate from your body…
Embrace the feeling of peace that comes from the gentle rhythmic
motion…..
In this deep relaxed state, remember that life and loss is an inevitable
aspect of life….
When you shut away those deepest feelings, when you fail to recognise
them or to cope with the loss of someone you love, you do them an
injustice and you hurt yourself far more than you deserve..

Grieving is healing
Say these words to yourself whenever you feel the grip of emotional
trauma rising up and overwhelming you….
“I am free to grieve.”
“I accept my loss”
You deserve to be free from the pain….and now your subconscious mind is
helping you. These words now become a part of your subconscious mind
and so, the healing begins…

Accept your loss. Let go of any guilt, let go of any doubts, let go of any
fears….
Feel the tension and sadness as a tangible energy as it leaves your mind…
You are becoming self-aware…you are emerging from the sadness with a
new sense of acceptance…
…. Understand that it is alright to feel the loss but to heal, you must
recognise the journey we all take…through life.

Any deeply buried emotional pain can manifest into anger, jealousy and
feelings of low self-worth. These are negative energies…it’s time to let
them go.
Now visualise the emotion again in your mind’s eye…shape it, mould it,
feel your control over it. It is your choice to let it go…
Let any deeply rooted pain leave your body and dissipate..
Jealousy is a dangerous, negative emotion and can cripple your life…it can
prevent you from experiencing deeply loving relationships…

Now you are in a deeply relaxed state, it is easy for suggestions to filter
into your subconscious mind.
Positive changes can be made…while you are in this deeply relaxed state…
In this deeply relaxed state, you feel peaceful and ready for change..
Your subconscious mind already recognises that nail biting is bad for you,
but it is trying to override other problems of anxiety.
However in this fairly deep relaxed state we can communicate with your
inner self, that of your subconscious.
Anxiety can be a thing of the past; nail biting will become a thing of the
past. All you have to do is remember how you feel right now, cocooned in
this deeply relaxed state.
Know that you can come back to this feeling anytime you want by
thinking the words “I feel happy and warm”
I want you to try that right now, tell yourself that you feel happy and
warm.
Breathe deeply for a few moments, and let each breath relax you more.
Allow your breathing to become a rhythmic cycle …you feel
peaceful…relaxed…
Now as you drift even deeper and relax even more, we can suggest to
your subconscious mind that you will also be able to return to these
feelings of contentment whenever you say the words “I feel happy and
warm”
These words immediately make you feel peaceful and a million miles
away from anxieties….
Just by saying those words you feel more relaxed and happier than you
have felt for a long time.
Knowing that you can recall this feeling back at any time you want, gives
you a sense of power and even deeper peace.
Because you feel in control and can feel happy and relaxed anytime you
need, then there is no need for any other method to remove anxiety.
Now you have no use for that method and your subconscious will now
understand that the command “I feel happy and warm” and this will work
far more efficiently.
In any situation, you can feel more comfortable and far more confident.
Any business and social occasions will offer up no fear. You are confident
and capable…..every experience will be more rewarding
In fact you will begin to look forward to events and places where you
meet new people.
It served a purpose but now, your anxieties are under control…you do not
need to do this anymore…
Just knowing that you can become deeply relaxed and happy at any time
you want, takes away any anxiety you once would have had.
You can now look forward to any situation without any fear of
embarrassment or anxiety.
You can easily use this method at any time and for any event where you
feel the onset of anxiety..
These words are now deep within your subconscious mind, so you will
immediately feel relaxed and happy.
This is a gift that will just continue to grow and be of use to you forever.
Now your subconscious has a new and more efficient way of dealing with
stress and anxiety……
As you begin to relax, you will understand that changes are easily
possible in your way of thinking.
In this deep relaxed, warm safe state, remember that all changes come
from within. You have an abundance of free thought and confidence
already in you. All you have to do is to be able to let go of any doubts and

worth, others will start to see this too.
As you give yourself up to these changes, the more your self-esteem will
grow, and this will happen every single day.
You are a unique human being with so much to offer this world, and it’s
only now that you are starting to truly understand this.
As you do so, it will be like casting a heavy weight from your shoulders.
Deep in your sub-conscious there is recognition that you are raising your
self-awareness.
Then as you go deeper, all the barriers that once prevented you from
moving forward, slowly crumble and fall.
Your sense of self-worth grows every single day and you love this
wonderful feeling that is truly yours whenever you want from now on.
Every time you say those words, even if you just think them, your sub-
conscious will respond.
You will feel energised every time you repeat this process and your self-
esteem will just keep growing.

You are a person with potential; you have new-found confidence and can
challenge the world and enjoy new experiences.
You are a person who deserves to learn and grow. You will feel confident,
aware of all of your qualities; you will feel peaceful and happy in your new
sense of self.
It’s time to embrace that new you and to allow your inner-most
confidence to shine. It’s time to enjoy every single moment of your life, to
be confident and to recognise your sense of self-worth. You deserve to be
happy and for your life to be filled with wonderful experiences.
You can perhaps for the first time really love who you are and as you
start each new day you welcome it and any new experiences it brings.
Each day now further changes will happen and positivity will reinforce
itself as you understand more and more that you are so important to the
world you live in.
Others will see a difference too and start to act differently around you.
a) Get as much information as possible from the client about their Phobia,
where and when they usually have the phobia. Ask them “If I had to
be you for the day and you had to teach me how to have your phobia,
what would I have to experience?” What would I have to see, hear and
feel? Elicit all the sub modalities in the pre-talk before beginning the
technique.
d) It is then useful to have the client draw up a list of all the advantages
and disadvantages of holding on to this phobia. This helps to show the
client that there are more disadvantages and how holding on to this
phobia is affecting their life.
f) Have you client walk into an“imaginary movie theatre” in their mind
and sit down somewhere comfortable and relaxing.
g) Have them float up out of their body and gently settle in a comfortable
seat in the balcony, so they can watch themselves watching the
screen.
h) Have them put the very beginning of their Phobia on the screen in the
form of a movie in full colour. At all times remind them that they are
just observing and that there are no feelings involved. Have them run
the movie of their phobia all the way to end, as they remain in the
balcony watching sitting in the front row watching themselves on the
screen. (Completely detached from any feelings)
i) At the end of the movie, freeze the frame into a slide. Change the
picture to black and white draining any colours, ask them to turn the
sounds right down and to add some funny music that makes them
laugh. Run the movie backwards at triple speed or faster, with the
funny music playing, then have them fast forward the movie, then
keep re-winding and fast forwarding the movie as fast as they can 3
times then have them freeze - frame the image when they get to the
beginning of the movie.
j) Then ask them to white out the entire screen letting go of any
association to the situation in the movie. The client is still listening to
the funny music at all times.
k) Have your client leave the movie theatre feeling relaxed and calm
leaving any associations to the phobia behind, reminding them that
they are starting a new chapter and all of the things that they will now
be able to do. Test for the phobic response by asking your client to
imagine themselves in a situation that may in the past have brought
on the phobic response. Have your client continue to listen to the
funny music, reminding them that they no longer have any association
to the phobia.
l) End the technique by bringing your client back into the room by
counting them back from 1 to 3 then asking them to open their eyes.
m) Ask the client again on a scale of 1 to 10 how severe the phobia is now
and if their association to it has now changed.
n) Ask the client to now draw a picture of their phobia to see if there are
any changes to the original drawing in step 3.
